00:00In other news, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the aerial inspection in Marikina City and Antipolo City
00:09for the personnel to see the abandoned building of Bagyong Enteng.
00:14Meanwhile, the President made it clear that he is not sick.
00:17Following the spreading on social media, Patrick De Jesus returned.
00:23Do I look sick?
00:25Is that what we need to monitor?
00:28What fake news is that?
00:30Don't believe it unless it comes from a credible source.
00:34This is the answer of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:38in the spreading posts on social media with the hashtag,
00:42Where is the President?
00:43The President's determination to put his health in order
00:46where he led the situational briefing in NDRRMC
00:51regarding the effects of Bagyong Enteng and Habagat.
00:54He also denied that he had a medical emergency.
00:58A lot of my friends called me,
01:01Are you okay? Are you okay?
01:02Nothing, it's just nonsense.
01:04You were in the palace, in your house yesterday, sir?
01:07I was in the palace most of the day, yes.
01:11I had a meeting in the morning.
01:13I had a command conference with some of our commanders.
01:18And I spent the rest of the day reading my briefs and doing paperwork.
01:25I was just surprised when they said that there was a medical emergency.
01:33Sir, which is why we are asking you directly.
01:39It's totally and completely fake.
01:42I do not even have a cold.
01:43I do not have anything wrong with me.
01:46I'm fine.
01:48Thank you for your concern.
01:49The President also conducted an aerial inspection
01:51in some parts of Manikina and Antipolo
01:54to personally find out where the Bagyong Enteng was left.
01:58However, there are plans for flood control
02:01in order to prevent flooding,
02:03especially since the population is growing
02:05and the problem with garbage is worsening.
02:08Instead of increasing our flood protection,
02:11our plan should be on a bigger scale
02:16to place impoundings on top of the rivers
02:21so that we won't have to lower the water level here in Manila.
02:25Because of that, you won't be able to control it
02:28when it's highly populated like this.
02:30You really won't be able to control the water level.
02:33The water that should flow through the city
02:36won't be able to go down to the impoundings.
02:41Secondly, we have water for irrigation and water supply.
02:48In the latest report from the Office of Civil Defense,
02:51more than 440,000 families or 1.7 million individuals
02:57were affected by the Bagyong Enteng and Habagat.
03:01More than 15 people died and were injured in Calabarzon
03:06and several provinces in Visayas
03:08because of the floods and landslides,
03:10while more than 20 people were lost.
03:12According to the President's Directive,
03:15he will continue to provide assistance to the affected residents
03:19where more than P31 million pesos of assistance
03:22was given by the government and local governments.
03:26This is Patrick De Azuz for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
