00:00The story of a great entrepreneur, of a great Venetian, who has always had very clear mantras,
00:11I knew him, he had this fortune, that is, freedom, positivity in life, determination,
00:18willpower and humanity, these are characteristics that Egno had and that he managed to convey
00:23to his team, his family, and I would say that these values are still as current as ever.
00:30First of all, it is appreciable because it has been reconstructed as much as possible,
00:35maybe it has also been romanticized, I see that the presence of this Venetian has remained,
00:41not only in the language but also in the landscapes, someone could say that it could only be like this,
00:46it could also be different, so my compliments to the Doris family, first of all for this
00:51philological choice, absolutely corresponding to reality. And then the story, the story of one of us
00:57who became a great financier, but who was able to bring those values of the Venetian, which are
01:01humanity, solidarity, and these are values that he managed to bring to finance as the only one.
01:07Just think of what happened with Lehman Brothers, the collapse of this bank, 120 million euros
01:15in charge of 11,000 customers of Mediolanum, who lost precisely these 120 million,
01:22and then thanks to the idea of Egno, these 120 million are substantially
01:28allocated from the personal coffers, obviously from the Doris family and the Berlusconi family.
01:32In our time, when the narrative is to tell the guys that the only solution is to pack your bags and go away from Italy,
01:39it is often perhaps to caress the alibi of the fact that if I don't do it, it's not that I don't do it
01:46because I'm not committed, but because the world is against me. And with those narratives,
01:50perhaps bringing a virtuous example like that of the story of Egno Doris, perhaps makes us reflect
01:56a lot on the fact that dreams can also be realized, but behind every dream there are
02:02days and nights of sacrifice.
