00:00a family moves into their dream home and is given fair warning I had the locks
00:11changed because of intruders maybe friends when their four-year-old begins
00:15interacting with a stranger Jacob did this Sheldon was seeing something no we
00:22couldn't is it a problem or an evil ghost with a burning vendetta there was
00:31bite mark on her shoulder with six six six Brandon next to it you want to
00:36protect your kid and you can't because you can't see what's there the battle
00:40lines are drawn between good and evil in America there is real evil it lurks in
00:49the darkest shadows and in our most ordinary towns between the worlds we see
00:55and the things we fear there are doors when they are opened nightmares become
01:04reality
01:11on the outskirts of the capital city of Des Moines lies a town surrounded by
01:16flat farmland as far as the eye can see it's a mere speck on the map population
01:25303 Linda Adkins has lived in the area her entire life in 2006 she moved to
01:36Bagley when her husband built them a brand new farmhouse when her husband
01:44passed away Linda offered to sell it to her grandson Craig and his family at a
01:49low-price
01:57Craig's new bride Kimberly is thrilled for herself and her two young daughters
02:02Shailene and Zaylena we decided to move down here and give the kids place to run
02:08out on an acreage and Craig and I were both ecstatic before departing Craig's
02:15grandmother offers a word of caution before I forget these are the new keys
02:20I had the locks changed because of intruders
02:22intruders out here well you can't be too careful the highways not very far from
02:27here well thank you despite the warning the house is a dream come true I really
02:35cared about the house it was like a new beginning I should probably go and pack
02:39more Craig works in window manufacturing in one of the last remaining factories
02:44in town
02:49Bagley was first settled in 1881 with the building of a railroad station by
02:54the turn of the century it became a thriving industrial town until the
02:58railroad closed one by one the factories disappeared
03:09I grew up in Bagley there used to be plants and factories and gas stations in
03:16the town they've all closed down
03:19but despite the town's depressed past for Craig and his new bride the
03:24four-bedroom house marks a new beginning when you walk in the home you
03:29enter to almost 40-foot vaulted ceiling straight up and it's all open it was
03:35just amazing
03:38Kimberly and Craig met a few months ago and instantly hit it off we met on a
03:44online dating site and as soon as he met me and the girls we just knew it was
03:50meant to be for our family
03:58it was just kind of a mutual connection we fell in love within seconds of
04:05talking
04:06do you have a camera?
04:10unfortunately I do okay fantastic I'm going to go again do you have a three?
04:14no it was just an instant fit it was like putting a piece of the puzzle last piece in
04:22what's your favorite part of the house? The playroom because it has all the toys and that's the most fun
04:30Mine was the playroom too. This home it was somewhere that we were going to raise the
04:37two kids for the rest of their life
04:40the family settles in but it doesn't take long for Kimberly a stay-at-home
04:46mom to feel like she's not alone
04:50girls I know I told you to pick up your toys
05:02I felt like somebody was watching us
05:06kind of got that feeling to look over your shoulder all the time as somebody
05:10standing right behind you and you would look over and there would be nobody there
05:16I thought it was just me trying to get used to a new home and I was just on edge
05:23Kimberly tries to ignore her instincts but each day the feeling that someone is
05:31in the house grows stronger
05:36come on Shailene, into bed. Do fish take naps too? I'm sure they do sweetie if their
05:45mommy's asked them to. Alright let's go. I was laying the girls down for nap
05:51normal nap time normal routine. Alright, got your blanket. Will you please leave the
06:02light on? Of course, sweetie. Just like always.
06:17As soon as I got out of the room the door slammed on me. Girls, what's going on?
06:22At first I thought it was the girls but then I realized that they were laying
06:28down on their bed and there's no way they could have done that
06:32I realized the window was open. I thought maybe the wind could have slammed the
06:36door shut. I didn't think too much of it.
06:43Okay, nap time for real this time.
07:02A few days later, four-year-old Shailene has made a new friend.
07:09What's your name?
07:12This is my doll. I put this dress on her because she loves pink. She also has like three other friends that I like
07:21dressing up too. Where did you come from?
07:26You don't talk much. I'm Shailene. Can we be friends?
07:30I heard Shailene talking in the playroom. Do you like your doll?
07:34It was like she was talking to somebody that was sitting there.
07:38Yeah, her dress is so pretty, right?
07:42But nobody was there.
07:44Can I join in? Sure, I guess so. Jacob won't mind.
07:49Who's Jacob? My new friend.
07:51Where did you meet him? He was walking around the house so I asked him his name and he said his name was Jacob.
07:58Kimberly is stunned and to her horror, Shailene describes the man in surprising detail.
08:05She said he was tall and that he was very dirty and he had dark hair and he had dark cabrals on.
08:13He wears torn up work clothes and he also wears boots. A little bit like daddy.
08:20And he had work boots on like her daddy's.
08:24He lives here, so we're friends now.
08:27Kimberly doesn't know what to think. Is it possible Shailene's been seeing one of the intruders Craig's grandmother warned about?
08:36That night she brings it up with Craig.
08:40How was your day? Girls liking the new place okay?
08:44Shailene has an imaginary friend. Apparently his name is Jacob.
08:49Jacob, huh? She's just using her imagination.
08:55I don't know, it was weird. She talked about him like he was real.
08:59I mean she even told me that he was wearing a cabral and boots. Like you.
09:03Like me, huh? Honey, don't worry about it. I'm just having fun.
09:09Let's get some sleep, okay? You'll get up early.
09:15When she told me that, I just thought Shailene was being a normal kid.
09:24Okay.
09:43Craig, did you hear something?
09:54No.
10:24Craig!
10:36Ever since Craig Adkins, his new bride Kimberly and her two daughters moved into Craig's grandparents' house in Iowa,
10:44Kimberly can't shake the feeling they are not alone.
10:49I felt like somebody was watching us.
10:54Kind of got that feeling to look over your shoulder all the time.
11:04This is my doll.
11:05Can I join in?
11:06Sure, Jacob won't mind.
11:09And when her four-year-old daughter Shailene says she's befriended a man in the house, Kimberly grows concerned.
11:16Shailene told us her new friend's name was Jacob.
11:19She told us that he had cabrals on, and that he looked like he worked, and that he was dirty.
11:28Could Jacob be more than an imaginary playmate?
11:40Craig!
11:42I looked up and seen a shadow of a man, and I thought we were going to be attacked.
11:49Hey!
11:55I immediately went into dad mode. I went after this guy.
12:01I was petrified. I thought somebody was in our house, and we were dead that night.
12:12What?
12:25After a thorough search of the house, Craig finds no intruder, and nothing missing.
12:33Craig breaks the news to Kimberly.
12:35Hey, hey.
12:37I checked the whole house, all right? I checked everything. There's nobody here.
12:41No, I saw someone, Craig.
12:42Honey, honey, listen. I did too. I checked everything. Everything is locked up tight. We're safe, all right?
12:49Well, I'm going to sleep with the girls tonight, because I don't want them to be alone.
12:51Listen, you have nothing to worry about. Everything's going to be fine.
12:55We thought it was somebody breaking in, and no alarms went off, and all the doors were still locked.
13:02To set the family at ease, Craig changes all the locks.
13:06He just did what a husband would do. He figured he works nights. He didn't want somebody coming in.
13:13But for Kimberly, it's still not enough.
13:17I went from the terrorized, fear stage to the angry stage.
13:21I was mad because I felt like I was not protecting my kids.
13:25From that moment on, I kept a more close eye on the girls.
13:28For the next few weeks, the family tries to focus on life as usual.
13:33I just try to ignore the activity, and get our life back to the way it was.
13:39Spring arrives with the promise of new beginnings.
13:44But inside the house, something is still not right.
13:52Have you seen some dolphins?
13:53Yeah.
13:54I suppose you could say that.
13:55Have you seen some dolphins?
13:56Yeah.
13:57I suppose you could say that.
13:59I like the monkeys.
14:03Craig, get in here!
14:04Mommy, my fish!
14:06We went into the bedroom to go watch a movie with the girls, and the whole room was just completely ransacked, just trashed.
14:16What happened?
14:17I don't know.
14:19What's going on?
14:21There was just a complete mess, and it looked like a tornado had came through there.
14:26We knew it couldn't have been the kids.
14:28The whole house is locked, Kimberly.
14:29We walked in here, and it was like this.
14:30Yes.
14:31There was no way somebody entered that home.
14:35But one person knows who was behind this.
14:38Shailene.
14:39I know who did this.
14:41Sweetie, Mommy and Daddy are talking right now.
14:43But I know who did this.
14:44Okay, sweetheart.
14:47Jacob did this.
14:49Jacob is Shailene's supposed imaginary friend.
14:54I'm Shailene.
14:56Here's your doll.
15:00What do you want to name her?
15:03Craig is not amused.
15:05Maybe Jacob couldn't do this.
15:08If he did, he'd be a naughty boy.
15:11Right?
15:13See, Jacob?
15:14I told you.
15:15You're naughty.
15:16You're naughty.
15:17Shailene turned around and looked at something that was straight in front of us.
15:21I was just completely shocked.
15:22Couldn't even get words out.
15:24Shailene was seeing something that we couldn't.
15:28For the next few days, Kimberly is constantly on edge,
15:31and begins to wonder if the shadow of the man they've been seeing around the house is a ghost.
15:37At this point, I was stressed, very nervous.
15:40I knew something was going on in the home.
15:42I mean, when you see stuff moved, when you see things flipped,
15:45when you hear things, you know something's going on,
15:49and what else do you say?
15:51It's haunted.
15:57Fear is now part of the family's daily routine,
16:00and the newlyweds' relationship begins to unravel.
16:08What are we going to do?
16:10About what?
16:12We were all very stressed what was going on.
16:17Jim and I started fighting, and that was not like us at all.
16:21About the house, Craig, something is obviously going on.
16:24And I told him that this was more than just unusual things, that something was seriously wrong.
16:30He wanted to protect me and the girls, and he just didn't know how to do it.
16:39Did you move this?
16:41She turned around and asked me why I moved the pan.
16:43I was like, I didn't move the pan.
16:45Honey, I don't know what you're talking about.
16:50Hey, Kimberly.
16:53Come here.
16:56Listen, come here.
16:58I know you're scared.
17:00I am too, and I know there's something going on here.
17:02I just, I don't know.
17:04Craig, Craig, it moved again.
17:08All of a sudden, the pan started moving by itself.
17:14Hey, Mom, I want him to try the pan.
17:26Soon after moving into an Iowa farmhouse, a family of four begins sensing a stranger is in the house.
17:38When Craig and Kimberly go after the intruder, he vanishes.
17:43Is he a prowler or a ghost?
17:51Kimberly's four-year-old daughter, Shailene, describes the man as a mischievous, imaginary friend.
18:00But what started as the innocent musings of a child has turned violent.
18:05Hey, Mom, I want him to try the pan.
18:08Suddenly, the pan started flying towards us.
18:14Jacob, you stop.
18:15Jacob?
18:16We were very scared.
18:18Get her out of here.
18:20When you see stuff move, when you get attacked, you know something's going on.
18:25Craig begins to wonder if the home is haunted.
18:29But there is nothing in its past to explain the presence of a ghost.
18:33His grandparents built the house just a few years ago and were the only ones who ever lived there.
18:41I wanted to know how it could be happening in a new-built house when nobody's ever died in the house.
18:49Kimberly and Craig decide to research the history of the property.
18:54So we went down to the public library, and I couldn't find anything in public records.
18:59So I started talking to the secretary. She had to be in her 80s.
19:03Did you find records on our house?
19:05I'm sorry, I couldn't find a thing.
19:08You know, we actually don't have anything before 1950.
19:121950?
19:13The town really didn't have a records office until then.
19:17But I do know this property.
19:20You do?
19:21Mm-hmm. Isn't it right off the highway?
19:24Yeah.
19:25Well, I can remember when they tore down that old chemical plant, what was left of it.
19:33Chemical plant?
19:34Oh, yes.
19:36She told me she lived in town most of her life, and she was telling us about a plant that burned down.
19:42It turns out the chemical plant was located on the very same land where their house now stands.
19:48Anyway, that plant brought so much work to this town.
19:52It was just really sad when it burned down.
19:55Well, how did it burn down?
19:57I don't think they ever found out the cause, really.
20:00But my husband was one of the first firemen that responded.
20:06And three young men lost their lives in that fire.
20:15Help!
20:18Hey! Help me! Anybody!
20:23Help!
20:29It was a terrible, terrible accident.
20:34I'm sorry. I hope you'll be happy there anyway.
20:39This really hit the town hard because one was 18 or 19, and the other one was in his 20s.
20:46She only knew two names. One was Joshua, and one was Jacob.
20:51Hey! Help!
20:53Jacob did this.
20:55Who's Jacob?
20:56My new friend.
20:57This was really the moment for us that it all clicked.
21:01We knew there was a ghost, and that his name was Jacob.
21:04We knew this kid was real.
21:07Kimberly and Craig are horrified at the way Jacob and the other young men met their fate.
21:12We were upset, and we really didn't know what to expect with Jacob.
21:18We didn't know if he was trying to contact us or if he was trying to hurt us.
21:22The family decides to pray for Jacob, hoping this will help him rest in peace.
21:28It felt pretty bad. He was only 18 years old when he died.
21:33Me and the girls went and bought flowers, and we put them on the side end of our house.
21:37All right. Well, let's all say a prayer now for Jacob. Close your eyes.
21:40Lord, we just want to thank you for Jacob, and we pray as we lay him to rest that you would just grant him peace,
21:47and we pray that you would bless the rest of his day and keep us safe.
21:51Amen.
21:53All right. Let's get you guys back inside.
22:00I told Jacob that I was sorry for what happened,
22:05but our family wasn't.
22:07But our family wasn't trying to hurt him.
22:10And then everything stopped. The house went quiet.
22:14I was more than hopeful things were going to get better. I thought he would just go away.
22:19Okay.
22:21But will faith alone be enough to stop Jacob's terror?
22:37I don't know.
23:08For months, a ghost named Jacob has been haunting the Iowa home of newlyweds Craig and Kimberly and her two daughters.
23:17Craig, it moved again.
23:24Hey, Mom.
23:25Hey, Mom.
23:32According to the local librarian, Jacob lost his life on their land in a chemical factory fire in 1936 when he was just 18.
23:43People died on that property. I had no idea what to think after that.
23:50To make peace with the ghost, Kimberly builds a makeshift memorial for him and prays for his soul.
23:57Thank you for Jacob.
23:59We were really hoping that by telling Jacob that we were sorry and that we'll never forget him,
24:06that it would just make it go away. I was more than hopeful things were going to get better.
24:11But the family quickly realizes that hope is a weak defense against Jacob's supernatural powers.
24:20Me and Craig was cuddled up in bed.
24:25Girls were sound asleep.
24:40It's the ghost!
24:41All of a sudden, I heard these blood-curdling screams. I ran over there. Craig ran over there.
24:46Girls, what's wrong? What happened?
24:48Mommy, the bad man's back.
24:50What?
24:51What bad man? You mean Jacob?
24:54Did he hurt you?
24:55No. He said...
24:57What'd he say?
24:58He said he was going to kill you and kill Daddy.
25:05All right, come here.
25:06She told us that Jacob was going to kill us.
25:10Even though I was telling my daughter that Jacob couldn't harm us,
25:14I knew that he could. I was terrified. I didn't know what to do.
25:18That night, Kimberly and Craig moved the girls into their bedroom to keep a close eye on them.
25:24We started getting into it.
25:27You know this isn't a real situation.
25:28I know. Of course I know that.
25:31Let's just get through tonight, okay?
25:36We were on eggshells. We were all very stressed.
25:40And it wasn't with each other, because when we were outside the house, our family was happy.
25:44And when you entered that home, you felt your energy drain.
25:49Get some sleep.
25:50Okay.
25:51I'll stay up and keep watch, all right?
25:53Craig was trying to hold a brave face, but he didn't know what to do.
25:57He wanted to protect us, but how?
26:04We knew we needed professional help.
26:06We knew we needed professional help.
26:08And if we didn't get that help, we were afraid Jacob was going to hurt somebody.
26:13The family reaches out to Paranormal Research and Investigations Fort Dodge for help.
26:19When I spoke with Kimberly, she was desperate, but she wasn't showing it.
26:24I told her that was good, not to show fear.
26:29You're set. We're good to go.
26:31Okay.
26:32Immediately, I knew George was a trustworthy person, and that he was going to help our family.
26:38For their safety, Kimberly's daughters are not present.
26:42While one member uses an infrared video camera and attempts to capture electronic voice phenomena,
26:48the lead investigator takes his position on the floor against a wall.
26:54I will not expose myself 360 degrees because I will be vulnerable for any attack anywhere around me.
27:04I'm speaking to the spirit in this house.
27:10I'm not here to torment you.
27:15I'm here to ask for your help.
27:19Do you understand?
27:21I try to hold a conversation with whatever is there.
27:26Let me know you're here.
27:28My goal is to try and find out the reason why they're earthbound.
27:36Hours pass when suddenly...
27:41I think I see something. Hey George, come here.
27:45I caught at least three different irregular anomalies.
27:53I enhanced it, and I cleaned it up, and...
27:57It appears to be a human face.
28:00You could see the outline of his forehead, his nose, his mouth, his chin, and his neck.
28:08It was definitely a face.
28:10The picture that we were looking at was Jacob. He showed himself.
28:14Based on the tragic history of what took place here,
28:17George has a theory about why Jacob is haunting the home.
28:22I believe that Jacob was angry because of the way he died.
28:30He wasn't ready to leave this world.
28:33I don't think anyone would want to be burned alive.
28:37I don't think anyone would want to be burned alive.
28:40I think it would be a horrible death.
28:45That's why he was haunting us.
28:47He was angry to see somebody so happy in the house, being so young,
28:51when he didn't get that time to live.
28:55He had a vendetta against society itself.
28:58George advises the family to find a religious leader to cleanse the home of the evil Jacob.
29:04But until that time, Kimberly and her daughters continue sleeping in the same bedroom,
29:09while Craig keeps watch just outside.
29:12We were scared that Jacob was becoming aggressive,
29:16and we didn't know what was going to happen next.
29:18I knew that Jacob was after my family.
29:33The next day
29:48Honey? Oh my God.
29:53All of a sudden, I looked up and see blood dripping off our ceiling.
29:58Get the girls!
30:00Wake up! Wake up! Girls!
30:03Wake up!
30:13For months, a young family has been terrorized by the ghosts of Jacob.
30:18He said he was going to kill you and kill daddy.
30:22A teenager who was burned alive on their property over 70 years ago.
30:28Paranormal experts advise the family to have the house cleansed of the spirit before he grows angrier.
30:36But help won't come soon enough.
30:38I asked Craig what was dripping off our ceiling.
30:58It was blood, coming through from the other side.
31:03Get the girls!
31:04Wake up! Girls!
31:06Wake up! Girls!
31:07Jim and I were terrified.
31:09I thought Jacob was trying to tell us this could be us next.
31:13We were freaked out. We got the girls up. We left.
31:18For the next few days, the family stays with relatives.
31:22We really felt like Jacob was trying to show us that he was more powerful than us.
31:27We knew if we didn't get help, we were afraid Jacob was going to hurt somebody worse.
31:32Kimberly meets with a demonologist to perform a cleansing to rid the house of any negative entities.
31:38She prepared me before I even went in with her.
31:41She told me that I was going to get very violent.
31:44We may see things today that you'll want to forget.
31:48Just read and ignore anything else that's going on.
31:51The demonologist has prepared a reading that includes passages from the Bible meant to drive the dark spirit from their home.
31:59In Thee, O Lord, I take refuge. Let me nevermore be confounded.
32:04She and I read from a scripture blessing the home.
32:08Be unto me a rock of protection.
32:10She told me straight up, keep reading. Do not detour from the script.
32:15If you do, it's going to be worse.
32:17In Thee, O Lord, I take refuge.
32:20A table slid across the whole room.
32:23I was terrified.
32:25Keep praying, please. Keep praying. Keep praying.
32:27Let me nevermore be confounded.
32:30Deliver me.
32:31Bow down thine ear to me.
32:33And make haste to rescue me.
32:35Be unto me a rock of protection.
32:38A fortified stronghold.
32:40For thou art my rock and my fortress.
32:43Things were thrown at us. It was becoming more and more chaotic.
32:47Bow down thine ear to me.
32:49In Thee, O Lord, I take refuge.
32:52Be unto me a rock of protection.
32:54A fortified stronghold.
32:56A stronghold to save me.
33:08Then, silence.
33:12Amen.
33:14Let's go.
33:16Once she was completely done, it was like peace in the house.
33:19Every dark, dark room seemed to be like three or four shades lighter.
33:24Like nothing was there anymore.
33:28Kimberly is in disbelief.
33:30Could Jacob really be gone?
33:34Days pass, and life remains tranquil.
33:39I had the girls come back home.
33:41They slept in their beds.
33:43We were at peace.
33:45I felt like I got my house back.
33:55Kimberly attempts to resume life as usual.
33:58Me and the girls, we were playing.
34:12What happened to the light?
34:14Uh-oh. It must be going to rain.
34:17All of a sudden, the whole house just went dark.
34:22You couldn't see anything, and it was broad daylight out.
34:25And you could just tell something evil was in the home.
34:29Girls, come here.
34:31In an instant, Kimberly's hopes had dashed.
34:34This is the last straw.
34:36At that point, I couldn't handle much more.
34:39Stop it!
34:40Why can't you just leave us alone?
34:43I was at my wit's end, and I just freaked out on Jacob and told him to stop.
34:47Please just leave us alone.
34:49Please just leave us alone.
34:53And the whole house went light.
34:59That night, when Craig returns from work, Kimberly confronts him.
35:04Thank goodness you're back.
35:06The house went dark, and it was pitch black.
35:09I'm telling you, Jacob is back.
35:11I thought we took care of this.
35:12No, he's still here.
35:13I want to leave, please.
35:15I was really upset about what was going on.
35:17I knew this was Jacob.
35:19Craig tries his best to calm Kimberly down, but each of them knows they're trapped.
35:25You know we can't move, okay?
35:27We talked about moving, but we couldn't afford it.
35:31We just put a bunch of money in the house.
35:34We knew if we walked out of the house, we were going to lose everything that we had.
35:38We didn't have somewhere else to go.
35:42You smell that?
35:43Suddenly, the couple smells something foul.
35:47You know that smell?
35:48Craig immediately recognizes the odor, farm fertilizer.
35:53My husband, he's done farming for a long time.
35:56He said it was identical.
35:58But it's as if the fertilizer is burning.
36:02Oh my God, the girls' room!
36:05It almost smelled like gas, like chemicals being cooked.
36:11Girls?
36:13What the hell?
36:14I can't open it!
36:15Oh my God.
36:16Girls, can you hear me?
36:17Silence!
36:18Selena!
36:27In a house outside of Des Moines, Iowa,
36:30a family is terrorized by a violent ghost who died in a chemical factory fire on their land decades earlier.
36:39Bow down, I hear to me.
36:41A paranormal expert is brought in to cleanse the house of the evil entity.
36:46Once she was completely done, it was like nothing was there anymore.
36:50Amen.
36:51We were very desperate just to be done and our life back to the way it was.
36:59A few days after the cleansing, Kimberly and Craig suddenly smell something unusual.
37:05Anhydrous ammonia.
37:07It smelled like chemicals being cooked.
37:11It smelled just like anhydrous.
37:13You couldn't even hardly breathe in there and you were coughing and gagging.
37:17The girls' room!
37:18It just smelled really bad.
37:21I knew exactly that it was anhydrous.
37:24Girls?
37:26What the hell?
37:27I can't open it!
37:28Girls, can you hear me?
37:29Are you okay?
37:30Are you okay?
37:32Anhydrous ammonia is a common agricultural fertilizer,
37:36the kind of chemical that would have been fabricated in the plant where Jacob died.
37:49What the hell? There's nothing here!
37:51There's no smoke, no fire.
37:54Where's Lelena?
37:56Lelena?
37:57Where's your sister?
37:58Lelena!
37:59Where are you, girl?
38:00Are you okay?
38:01There you are, honey.
38:02Come here.
38:03Are you okay?
38:04Watch out, watch out.
38:07What hurts, baby?
38:08What hurts?
38:10Oh, my God!
38:11Oh, my God, Craig!
38:12Kimberly!
38:13There's something on her back.
38:14Oh, my God!
38:15What is this?
38:16There was a bite mark on her shoulder with 666 branded next to it.
38:25Oh, my God.
38:26It was ash in her skin.
38:29What happened?
38:30Jacob did it.
38:33It was scary.
38:34It made me angry.
38:35It's okay.
38:36I'm so sorry.
38:37It's gonna be okay.
38:38Seeing my daughter like that, I felt like I failed as a dad.
38:43I was trying to tell her it's okay.
38:45All I could do is hold her in my arms.
38:47But Jacob isn't through with the family yet.
38:51Got her.
38:53Hear that?
38:54We heard machinery noise.
38:59Ready?
39:00Get Charlene.
39:01Come on, girls.
39:02Come on, girls.
39:03Get her out of here.
39:06Go!
39:07Go, go!
39:11Oh, my God!
39:13We didn't know what was happening.
39:15Things were flying at us from every direction.
39:25Oh, my God.
39:28Jacob was after my family, and he was not going to leave us alone.
39:37Anything and everything was moving in that house.
39:40He would have thought you were in a tornado.
39:49This was just the last straw.
39:54We had to get out of there.
39:57He told me to grab the girls and get them in the car, and we left that night.
40:10Jacob was trying to get us out of our home, and he won.
40:25The family seeks refuge with relatives,
40:29where they are currently staying until they save up enough money for a new home.
40:35We decided that as long as our family was safe, that it didn't matter where we lived.
40:42It was very hard just to walk away from the house that my grandfather had built.
40:47That was supposed to be our house.
40:50Craig and Kimberly have no plans to put the house up for sale.
40:55He's probably going to get bulldozed.
40:57Nobody is ever going to go through what we've been through at that house.
41:01Jacob was beyond the point of evil.
41:03I believe that Jacob's still in the house.
41:06This spirit was determined to have vengeance on anyone and everyone in this world because of the way he died.
41:20He's placing the blame on us.
41:25While Jacob remains trapped in his fiery hell, the family has grown stronger.
41:37We feel like we can get through anything now.
41:41We did face evil, and we won. We lost nothing.
41:45We could be living in a box and I wouldn't care.
41:48A house is a house. It's sticks and nails and boards and windows. That's it.
41:53As long as my family is happy, that's all that matters.
