00:00I'm doing pretty okay trainings have been been okay nothing too special I've
00:11actually done nothing special just endurance rides after the the ceremonies
00:18and everything in in Belgium I've been a bit sick so it was pretty difficult to
00:22find the shape again so I think that's why it's good to be here at the start to
00:27to put some intensity in the body and to put a big step forwards towards the
00:34World Championships but overall it was pretty relaxing without too much stress
00:39pretty good weather in Spain so yeah I've tried to enjoy my time on the bike
00:45and off the bike as well. Last year last time you were in Scotland you had an
00:50enjoyable journey with the World TT Championships are you looking
00:56forward to much much the same again? I mean it was of course a very good a
01:02very good memory or it still is a very good memory for now it was a not the
01:10greatest day with the rain but I think from tomorrow on it should be better so
01:14yeah I think I'm here without any real expectation let's say day by day and if
01:23there will be a good results I mean the better but of course Julian is here Paul
01:29Magnier is here so I think for me it's a race without any any pressure on results
01:37just putting a step forward in building up towards the world and of course I
01:42will be very happy to do some lead-offs for Paul and to have an open-minded race
01:47together with Julian I think that's perfect to step into the the race
01:52scenery again and yeah just just happy that it's on that it's in the Tour of
01:57Britain that I can restart again. What's the reason of your choice for this
02:03Tour of Britain? Is it a question of race dates or timing before the World
02:10Championship? Yeah I think the timing is a very good one here especially after
02:17the Olympics I could have three good weeks of I mean I could have a good
02:22week of rest then three good weeks of training and then a week of intensive
02:26racing shorter stages which is always inviting to be more intensive so yeah I
02:35think the timing and also it's not too long six stages with not too many hours
02:40in the legs can can help to to step out with without too much fatigue so I can
02:46pick up training pretty easily and pretty quickly again after this race and
02:51yeah I think it was difficult to do Renewi because of course there for me
02:57there was not much to find except for the TT and the last day I think here
03:01there is more more chances for myself and for the team to go for some some
03:05good results and yeah especially the timing and also the type of parkour is
03:10just is I think better than the other choices towards the World Championships.
03:18Harenko you've had an incredible summer you know with some huge success but now
03:23you've had some a few weeks to kind of look back at it and take it all in what
03:28do you feel personally how do you look back what's your personal memory of the
03:33last few months? Yeah I mean it let's say the preparation towards the big success
03:40started at a very low with the crash of course took me some time to to find a
03:46good shape again I think that's what we saw in Dauphiné that I was performing
03:50well on the TT bike but I was still struggling on the climbs at that moment
03:55I knew that there was still much shape to to gain towards the Tour so yeah I
04:01think it's kind of a building process in terms of shape but also the results I
04:05think it went from good in Dauphiné to super good in the Tour to great in the
04:12TT Olympics and then to an exceptional ending of a period with the road race so
04:18I think it's it was a bit of a building up of positive emotions and yeah
04:24positivity actually so I think that's the perfect summary of the last months
04:29just starting at a probably bare bottom and ending high in the sky so that's a
04:36bit how I can make the summary of my last three four months yes a few few
04:43weeks after can you already measure the aura of a double gold medal at the
04:51Olympic do you realize what you have done and do you measure when you go out
04:55for shopping or things like that that you've got a step higher than ever
05:01it's of course I started to realize it for myself when the ceremonies took
05:11place in Belgium I think there I really felt to the people that it was something
05:16something special that I achieved I think for myself it's or let's say in
05:22general it's still a bit difficult to to let it all sink in now but I think the
05:28past three weeks in in Spain training easily on the on the bike having some
05:36nice moments at home really let it all sink in a bit and made me realize that
05:40it was something very special but I think I will probably only really start
05:45to realize when this season is over when I will have about two three months to
05:49without any big stress off of the bike so I think yeah it's it's it has
05:56definitely came to my realization but I think it's something that will be kind
06:03of unbelievable for the rest of my life
