00:00Almost 3,000 San Mateo Rizal evacuated because of the rain and heavy rainfall of Baguio-Enteng.

00:07Next to this barangay, the damaged road that connects to Metro Manila is in trouble.

00:15And Maki Polito was able to report.

00:18In the heavy rainfall from the nearby river, the road was flooded and damaged.

00:28In Barangay Silangan, San Mateo Rizal.

00:30Half of the road is under construction because of the bridge project.

00:34That's why this lane is used by vehicles to cross to Marikina City.

00:40It is prohibited for any vehicle to pass through here.

00:43Because under this, more than half of the foundation is already there.

00:48So at any time, this can be given.

00:51It has a big effect on commuters because public jeeps that route San Mateo to Marikina and Quezon City can no longer pass.

01:36they used heavy rains in the early morning.

01:43Now, it's flooded.

01:46The water is only up to our feet.

01:49We were able to reach it.

01:51Every flood affects their livelihood because their tricycle can't move.

01:56But what they fear the most is galeptospirosis.

02:00We are really afraid of galeptospirosis.

02:03That's why we are only going down to buy food outside.

02:10In total, as of 2 p.m., more than 2,800 individuals evacuated

02:15and are temporarily staying at evacuation centers.

02:19Marisa and her five-year-old daughter are one of them.

02:22They said there's no problem with food.

02:24But CR is a big challenge.

02:26Sometimes, when we go to CR, it's flooded.

02:33That's why sometimes, we just lie down.
