00:00Two points apart, what were your thoughts on the game?
00:06They didn't deserve to lose, footy is a tough game sometimes, they were the better team,
00:13they had to cross bar twice, they were unlucky, we got a bit of luck, we won the game which
00:19is what we needed to do, we come here to chase two points, so we're going home with two points
00:23but we're not happy about how it happened, we need to move on from it, we've got a five
00:27minute turnaround and we know that performance is not good enough, I don't need to go on
00:32and on about it.
00:34Neither team are probably at their best but I guess at this stage of the season sometimes
00:38it's about how you win?
00:39We've been up for a long time, six weeks, the effort's been really good, the physicality
00:44has been really good and I thought they'd beat us in that part of it today, I don't
00:49want to take any credit away from them because they had a red hot crack, we knew that was
00:54going to be the case and we just didn't execute our footy anywhere near good enough.
00:58In terms of positives, the team buckled and slacked?
01:03Yeah, we had to get to 90 minutes, we hung in there, so if we need to look at the positives
01:10we're very smart and broke a record, we come through the game without any major injuries
01:16which is important into a five day turnaround and we got the two points because if we didn't
01:22well the season was over, so we need to make the most of that now.
01:25I was going to ask about Rhys, so a hat-trick of tries, a thousand points for the club,
01:29it's quite a game to end to.
01:31Yeah, it's great.
01:33He got, not lucky, but it looked good on the scoreboard for him but there were some things
01:38in his game today also that he was just as guilty as some of the other guys around some
01:43of our efforts but obviously there's not a lot we can say about that performance, the
01:49other team was better than us today and we got the result, that's just the way it is.
01:53From a Brodie, held his nerve at the end, is that something you practice at all?
01:58He does, he practices a lot.
02:00His game was only okay today as well, he'd been a bit crook all week and probably played
02:06like that, but in the day he won us the game didn't he, so he's earned his money today.
02:12That's great.
02:15What did you, sorry, just on Rhys, how important is he for your team individually?
02:20Yeah, look, his goalkeeping is really important, as it showed over the last few weeks, and
02:26runs a good line and does some really good things with the footy, understands the game
02:30really well, just got to keep challenging him around, staying in the game for 80 minutes.
02:34Will there be a loss when he goes for a mark?
02:36Of course, every player that leaves your club is going to be a loss, but that will just
02:42give someone else an opportunity.
02:44We're not focusing on next year, we've still got three more games and he's important for
02:48us right now.
02:50Thanks.
