Cool Smashers make splash
The Creamline Cool Smashers proved that they are the league queens after successfully orchestrating a reverse sweep over the Cignal HD Spikers, 20-25, 26-28, 25-18, 27-25, 15-13, to have a shot for the crown at the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, Aug. 31.
The Cool Smashers returned in the finals after five years since its runner-up finish in the 2019 Reinforced Conference.
Erica Staunton led the Cool Smashers with 38 points on 36 attacks, a block, and an ace, while Bernadeth Pons fired 28 markers.
Team captain Michelle Gumabao added 10 points to help the Cool Smashers in the extended match.

00:00It's a big challenge today because at the start of the game, I almost got eliminated.
