00:16following the hottest August day in almost 30 years on Friday.
00:20But it's not all fun in the sun.
00:23Some parts of the state are facing severe wind warning.
00:27There was over 90km per hour gusts recorded at multiple locations
00:32including Bulambi and Bombala.
00:35Other parts of the country have been hit by record-breaking heat
00:38with Queensland experiencing its hottest August day in 15 years.
00:43And ahead of the bushfire season, fire services have been taking the opportunity
00:48to continue hazard reduction work where they can.
00:51The last week there's been really warm conditions
00:53and as well we've had those really high winds
00:56and that's created high fire dangers across the Sydney metropolitan
01:00and also the Illawarra.
01:01And we're expecting those to continue for the next few days.
01:04After a cold and chilly winter,
01:06these Sydney-siders have wasted no time flocking outdoors.
01:09Now the season is turning.
01:11I feel like lots of people feel depressed because it was such a long winter.
01:15So now the sun is going to bring lots of shininess in our life.
