Whenever it's sour cherry season, I absolutely must bake a sour cherry cake for the afternoon snack. The combination of the tartness of the cherries with the sweetness of the cake creates a heavenly mix.
I baked this cake in the traditional rustic way, "Sar Tash, Bon Tash" (heated from both the top and the bottom). This cake is very delightful with a cup of wood-fired tea, which I highly recommend you try.

Ingredients:
1 and a Half Cups Sugar
4 eggs
2 and a Half Cups Flour
1/2 Cup Yogurt
1/2 Cup Cooking Oil
1 Cup Sour Cherries
60 gr Butter
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla..
