00:00Yesterday, I had the honour to come to this area and meet with a few stakeholders, business owners, government agencies that are looking for Vijaya Lakshmi.
00:15And today, I came to meet with several business units here.
00:21And we had a long discussion about this issue.
00:26It is true that we are very saddened by what happened to Saudari Vijaya Lakshmi.
00:31We accept it and we support and help government agencies to carry out their duty to find Saudari Vijaya Lakshmi.
00:43But at the same time, the most important thing that we discussed was that we cannot allow another incident like what happened to Saudari Vijaya Lakshmi in this area.
00:55This is a safety issue.
00:57And they, from the point of view of the union and the business owners, have raised the issue that there needs to be a special discussion with the DBIK, including the DBIK, IWK, and the Ministerial Office,
01:11to hold a meeting to get an update on this issue.
01:18Because right now, there are signs of another incident.
01:29So, this is a very, very serious issue.
01:33And the union feels scared.
01:37And they need to have an engagement.
01:39That is their request, so that there will be no more cases like what happened to Saudari Vijaya Lakshmi, or where people will meet or fall into another sinkhole.
01:49So, we have to find a permanent solution.
01:52Not come, patch up, patch up, and then come back.
01:56And when I heard from them, this is not a new thing.
02:01This has been going on for almost 7 years.
02:03Every time there is a small or big sinkhole, the DBIK comes to patch it up and then come back.
02:10But when there is a video of an individual falling, it becomes viral.
02:15Before this, it has happened many times, but it did not become viral.
02:18So, I have discussed with them.
02:22They are ready to help and join the discussion with the government agency.
02:29So, as a member of the parliament and also a member of the government, I will work with them to engage more businesses here.
02:38And they have various suggestions to improve this area.
02:41But they don't have a platform to go and lift it up.
02:44Because no one invites them to update how the road near this road is closed.
02:51What is there? Malay Mansion?
02:53Selangor Mansion.
02:54Selangor Mansion, right?
02:55Malay Mansion.
02:56Malay Mansion, Selangor Mansion.
02:57Selangor Mansion.
02:58Many voters complain to them.
03:03But they don't know where they want to engage.
03:06So, I am willing to help them get a slot or a meeting.
03:13Meet with the mayor and the minister, including other agencies.
03:16So that we can get a permanent solution.
03:20Finding Vijaya Lakshmi is one thing that we have to continue until we find it.
03:27But at the same time, we should not lose our focus on other things.
03:31If there is already one in the back.
03:34They have said that maybe there will be another single.
03:39They are closing the road.
03:41So, how many singles are there? We don't know.
03:44So, that is the concern of the guardians.
03:48So, until now, today is the 9th of September.
03:52But until now, we have not received any information from the mayor yet.
03:57Vijaya Lakshmi.
04:00So, now we pray that we will get it back as soon as possible.
04:04Because the businesses here are already closed.
04:07We are also waiting for his information.
04:11What happened to him.
04:14But until now, we also want to make it safe here.
04:21Because in this place, everyone is doing business.
04:24There are all people who pass by here.
04:26But there was a time when they said that this place would be a pedestrian walk.
04:31Before the ROL came.
04:33But now the ROL has made all the plans like a pedestrian walk here.
04:39But we must make sure that safety will be ensured on the road to Masjid India.
04:46So, now I pray that we as all the guardians here.
04:52We will get it and solve the problem as soon as possible.
05:00The first thing I have to do is get the government agency to sit with them.
05:05Because they are worried about the safety.
05:07So, help will be given later.
05:11In the middle of the plan.
05:20We have 47 shops here.
05:2247 shops.
05:23Only gold shops.
05:24And also gold bird shops.
05:26There are also here.
05:28All these shops have already been stopped.
05:31Can't do business anymore.
05:33Because our number one is safety.
05:35Number two, no one comes here.
05:37Not only that.
05:39They have been arguing about Singapore for a long time.
05:44They have argued many times about Singapore.
05:47How many times have you argued about Singapore in the last 7 years?
05:52I think every 2 months we have an argument.
05:59The first single shop has been here for 6 months.
06:05They have already done it, but it is not ready yet.
06:07So, we have to do it right away.
06:09Because there is no car that can pass here.
06:11The one in front.
06:13Yes, the first one.
06:15Number two is also the first one.
06:17Is there any loss?
06:21Loss?
06:23I think you know.
06:25Loss is about 95%.
06:29I think you know.
06:31Loss is about 95%.
06:33Loss is about 95%.
06:35Loss is about 95%.
06:37Loss is about 95%.
06:39Loss is about 95%.
06:41Loss is about 95%.
06:43Loss is about 95%.
06:45Loss is about 95%.
06:47Loss is about 95%.
06:49Loss is about 95%.
06:51Loss is about 95%.
06:53Loss is about 95%.
