00:00The inauguration of the Certificate of Candidacy for the 2025 midterm elections will start on October 1.

00:07Because of this, Comelec tightened the guidelines for the candidates who were chosen.

00:18In just a month, the candidates for the national positions for the 2025 midterm elections will be announced.

00:24From October 1 to 8, the inauguration of the Certificate of Candidacy for the 2025 midterm elections will start on October 1.

00:31Because of this, Comelec tightened the guidelines for the candidates who were chosen.

00:36Based on the resolution No. 11046 issued by the Commission,

00:40it is easy to trash or cancel a candidate's Certificate of Candidacy for the 2022 midterm elections if they are lying.

00:48And to investigate a candidate's Certificate of Candidacy for the 2022 midterm elections,

00:50a voter must file a complaint.

00:54For the declaration of a nuisance candidate,

00:59Comelec issued three guidelines.

01:02If he is just playing and not a serious candidate,

01:05if he is making a fuss like when he names a candidate,

01:10and if it is proven that he is just trying to get into the election and he has no intention of being a candidate.

01:18And for disqualifying candidates,

01:20this is when there is a lack of their qualifications and if they were not able to participate in the next two elections for the former candidates.

01:29A candidate can also be disqualified if he is found guilty by a court.

01:35Because of corruption in the election, the act of terrorism was found to be overspending in the campaign.

01:41Comelec also reminded voters to submit their petitions before proclaiming the candidate.

01:49And for COC voters who are using a substitution,

01:53this will only be allowed from October 1 to 8,

01:56and if it will pass, it is only applicable if a COC voter is dead or incapacitated.

02:03It is also stated in our guidelines that all Certificates of Candidacies will be distributed to our public.

02:09We will put it on the Comelec website.

02:11For Certificates of Candidacies, they have a commitment that they are allowing Comelec to distribute their Certificates of Candidacies to the public.

02:22Even for political parties, Comelec was strict.

02:26From five names, 10 nominees will be submitted as representatives of their group.

02:33The substitution for the names of the nominees will only be allowed until October 8,

02:38and if it will pass, it is only applicable if all nominees are dead or incapacitated.

02:49Meanwhile, aside from the preparations for the 2025 elections,

02:53on Saturday, there will be a plebiscite in Caloocan City to divide the new island into six barangays.

03:00According to Comelec, the barangay is big.

03:03Our purpose is to ensure that there will be peace and order in the conduct of the plebiscite.

03:09In the upcoming elections, we should always use AFP and PNP to ensure that our countrymen will vote properly.

03:17The Palacio agreed to use Comelec, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police,

03:23Philippine Coast Guard and other law enforcement agencies for the plebiscite.
