00:00Jonathan Howe, that's J-O-N-A-T-H-A-N, surname H-O-W, and I'm a meteorologist here at the
00:06Bureau of Meteorology.
00:07Jonathan, what does spring hold nationally for Australia?
00:13So nationally, the Bureau's long-range forecast shows an increased chance of warmer-than-usual
00:18conditions across all states and territories this spring.
00:22There is also an increased likelihood of above-average rainfall for large parts of eastern Australia
00:27over the next three months.
00:29There is a higher chance of above-average rainfall for most of New South Wales, most
00:33of Queensland and eastern Tasmania.
00:36But below-average rainfall is more likely in large parts of western Australia, except
00:41for the state's southwest.
