00:00The Minister of State Coordination, Aaron Agodagang, announced that

00:05one of the main agendas of this year's ministry

00:08is to rejuvenate all museums in the country.

00:13Aaron said,

00:14museums are an important agent for building coordination and relations

00:18through the inclusion of the community

00:21in various art and cultural heritage activities

00:24as well as being a platform for community integration.

00:28This is the basis of history,

00:30the origin of civilization.

00:32And of course, the history of the British,

00:37the formation of the Malay Union,

00:38and then the Sultanate at that time,

00:43if it is not documented in the history books,

00:47it will not bring us to the understanding.

00:50Aaron said,

00:51museums are guardians of heritage

00:54that gathers, preserves, and establishes a collection of history,

00:58cultural art, and community heritage in this country.

01:03Aaron, who is also a member of the Ganawit Parliament,

01:05announced that

01:06a program under the title of Nusa at Museum will be held this year.

01:11Here are some of the related programs.

01:20In 2023,

01:22GMM received 2.19 million visitors,

01:26exceeding the initial target of 1.7 million people.

01:30This year, the target is 2 million visitors.

01:34As many as 437,142 collections are stored at the GMM Museum,

01:41with 322,923 of them being archaeological collections,

01:47while 37,360 are ethnological collections

01:51and 76,858 are specimen collections.
