00:00How you guys doing? I'm Damian Escobar, the Global Chief Music Officer here at HAVAS and
00:13founder of Art of Sound, a sonic branding agency I created within the HAVAS network.
00:21There's an expression that goes, the greatest wealth is health. And I firmly believe that
00:27mental health is a critical part of that same sentiment. The idea that health is the most
00:32valuable asset a person can have definitely includes mental health. It's essential for a
00:37fulfilling life. There have been moments in the past that I've literally had to go to the hospital
00:45and I've been told, you're having a panic attack. Hand clutched to my heart, my mind is racing,
00:51I'm thinking this is it. And it's all because at that time in my life, I didn't know how to manage
00:57and prioritize my mental health. Don't get to that point. I personally manage mental health by
01:06setting boundaries, healthy boundaries. There are times I need to disconnect and turn off so I can
01:12tune in with myself. And that's okay. I know we work in an always on industry, but there are times
01:18that are reserved for myself. And I set that boundary. And I communicate effectively with my
01:25team so they know this hour, this time, this moment, this is for me. We all need that moment
01:32to regenerate. Take that moment. Trust me, it benefits everyone when you do.
01:43Mental health struggles can affect anyone. It doesn't mean you're weak.
01:47It doesn't mean you're less than or not good enough. And it doesn't mean you have to stay
01:52where you are, struggling with it in silence. The first step is to acknowledge that you need support
01:59and then take advantage of the resources that Havas offers.
02:05The Havas Mind Series is a way to better ourselves and others. Life is about learning,
02:11growing, and improving. And that's what this series helps us do. So do your part in building a
02:17healthier Havas. Join us in spreading the word about Havas Minds and completing the course.
02:23I know we all have busy work days and I know sometimes it's hard to pull away, but trust me,
02:29take this moment for yourself. This is worth it. Your mental health is worth it.
