I celebrated National Burger Day at Five Guys and this is what I thought
SussexWorld's Mark Dunford and his family visited Five Guys in Crawley to celebrate National Burger Day. They tried out some of the 250,000 of burgers you could have at the restaurant.

00:00Hi, so I'm Mark Dunford here from Sussex World and I'm at Five Guys in Crawley.
00:06It's a little bit late but it's the last Thursday, it was National Burger Day.
00:10So Five Guys contacted us and said do you want to come in and so I have.
00:16Just to give it a go, I'm here with my wife Amanda and my son Noah and we are going to
00:21try out some different things from the menu.
00:24Amanda's having a bacon cheeseburger with lots of toppings, lettuce, tomato, onions,
00:29ketchup.
00:30Noah's having just a normal cheeseburger and he's got loads of different things including
00:34pickles etc.
00:35There's so much choice, it's ridiculous what toppings to have.
00:41And I'm just having a normal hamburger, I don't like cheese, sorry if that offends anyone
00:45but I just don't like cheese.
00:47So I'm having it with onions, mayo, ketchup, lettuce.
00:54So yeah, looking forward to it, we'll let you know what it's like.
01:07So I went for a Biscoff milkshake for my drink to go with my meal.
01:11So it looks very pleasant, so I'm going to go in.
01:19It's very thick, I can tell you that much so far.
01:24Oh wow, bits of Biscoff getting stuck in the straw there but really nice milkshake, cream
01:35on top as well.
01:36So yeah, really thick and creamy.
01:38So as I say, Thursday 22nd August was National Burger Day and Five Guys said it's an opportunity
01:47to recognise the impact that burgers have had on our culture and cuisine.
01:51So Five Guys, they use the freshest ingredients and they've got over 15 free toppings to choose
01:57and customers can have over more than 250,000 combinations for their burger.
02:03I mean that's why it was so hard for us to pick what we wanted today.
02:07So we're just waiting for the burgers now, hopefully they'll be here soon.
02:11So the burgers have arrived, that's my one.
02:16Like properly stacked up, look at that.
02:23So we're going to enjoy, I'll let you know what it's like.
02:25So we've got our food and we've got our chips, we've got the little cups of chips that you
02:30get that they always throw in a load extra, ridiculous, but I think they feel like they're
02:37giving you value for money when they do that.
02:39So yeah, so here's my burger, I'm going to go in and sorry if you feel like this is disgusting
02:45watching me eat a burger, but I'm going in.
02:48Mushrooms, lettuce, ketchup, mayo, onions, here we go.
03:04That's really nice, the patties are fantastic, cooked perfectly and you get two patties.
03:12I'm already full up from one bite, so yeah I'll see if I can battle through the rest of it.
03:26So I finished my burger, absolutely stuffed now, really good burger and yeah really filling.
03:34It's not cheap, but you certainly get a lot for your buck.
03:38There's still loads of chips left in that bag that I showed you earlier, but yeah really
03:43nice meal, it could do with some cutlery, I'm not a big fan of meat juice running down
03:50my hand, but yeah really good meal and I'm going to ask Noah now what he thought.
03:59So Noah you've just enjoyed your burger, what were your thoughts?
04:03Very nice burger, comes with two patties, very nice, all the extra stuff is also very nice.
04:10And yeah it's very very stuffing, I feel like I could go vegetarian for a few days now,
04:16so it's nothing I'm not saying.
04:18So overall it's been a really good meal, Noah's just got another free refill, you get free
04:23refill drinks here, really good meal at Five Guys in Crawley, I'll make sure that I do
04:28it better on the actual national burger day, Thursday August 22nd this year it was, so
04:34next year hopefully I'll be celebrating it on the actual day.
04:38But loads of combinations of different burgers you can have here, it feels like a little
04:43bit of a treat, so yeah go and enjoy Five Guys and celebrate national burger day like
