00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. approved an additional fund for the wide-ranging coconut planting

00:07or replanting and fertilization program of the Philippine Coconut Authority.

00:13According to the Presidential Communications Office,

00:15the additional fund will be used for the implementation of the Philippine Coconut Industry Development Plan 2024-2034.

00:26According to President Marcos' directive to the Philippine Coconut Authority in October of last year,

00:34the plan is to create a detailed plan for the development of the Philippine coconut industry

00:40which is expected to be the number one coconut exporter in the world

00:46and which he sees as a great opportunity for the continued development of the country.

00:53The target of the Philippine Coconut Authority is to plant 100 million coconut trees by 2028.
