A U.S. soldier who fled across the North Korean border to escape charges will plead guilty to some of those original charges, plus a new one: desertion. Private Travis King is expected to plead guilty in a military court in Texas next month.

00:00A U.S. soldier who tried to escape into North Korea will plead guilty to multiple charges,
00:06including desertion.
00:08Last year, while military officers were taking Travis King back to the U.S. to face charges
00:13for assaulting another officer, he slipped away from the airport in Seoul.
00:18He then joined a tour of the demilitarized zone and ran across the North Korean border
00:22where officials detained him.
00:24They released him back to the U.S. in September.
00:27King's guilty plea and sentencing at a military court in Texas will take place next month
00:32and include charges from before his dash into the North.
