00:00Welcome to Deh Maharani's banana leaf restaurant in Puchong where despite its
00:05name diners can enjoy more than just your typical banana leaf meal.
00:10Deh Maharani's went viral on social media a few months ago thanks to its Roti Canai Maggi
00:15but that's not the only unique dish on its menu. FMT Lifestyle sampled
00:20four signature dishes recently and here's what you mustn't miss.
00:26Their top seller for the past six months, this isn't your average bowl of Maggi.
00:33It's loaded with spices like cinnamon sticks and garam masala, a rich onion tomato paste
00:38and of course Maggi curry powder. Simmered in chicken stock with generous chunks of chicken,
00:43it's served piping hot in a clay pot. Crack a runny egg on top and you're in for possibly
00:50one of the most elevated Maggi experiences of your life. Malabar Crab Paratha.
00:57For this new addition to the menu, the chef skillfully kneads and tosses two pieces of
01:02paratha dough while frying two eggs on the side. All the magic happens on a banana leaf.
01:09Layers of mouth-watering crab masala, two pieces of paratha and fried eggs are wrapped together
01:15and grilled for another 10 minutes. According to the chef, that's how the flavor of the crab
01:21seeps into every layer. When it arrives at your table and you unwrap the banana leaf,
01:27the aroma of crab fills the air. Pure bliss. Bamboo Nasi Lemak and Prawn Briyani.
01:36This Nasi Lemak isn't your average Pungkus version. Served with prawn sambal and chicken
01:42paratha, it's absolutely indulgent. But it's the Prawn Briyani that's the real surprise.
01:48Not too heavy on spices and gravy, yet packed with warm, comforting flavors, it will keep you
01:54coming back for more. Heads up, the portions here are generous, so be sure to bring some company.
