00:28the status and level of education in national schools so they become the top choice for

00:33Malacca Action Group for Parents in Education chairman Mark Cikin agreed, saying politicians

00:38like Zahid should focus on finding ways to improve national schools instead of suggesting

00:43ideas that would lead to more students leaving the country's main education system.

00:47He said Zahid's proposal is just another example of politicians prioritizing their

00:52own survival over what's best for children and Malaysia's education system.

00:57Last week, Zahid floated the proposal at the UMNO General Assembly, saying that having

01:01its own primary schools would complete Mara's education ecosystem.

01:06Mara already has junior science colleges, polytechnics and university technology Mara.

01:11In his speech, he said this would ensure the agenda of developing the next generation is

01:15bolstered by a robust human capital development syllabus.
