00:00The word haqam literally means a judge. The one that gives a ruling or a

00:06judgment based on their knowledge. For example, in Arabic the referee in a

00:12sports match is called a haqam because he gives a ruling or a judgment based on

00:17his knowledge and understanding. Allah is called al haqam. He is the true judge. He

00:23judges with his knowledge, wisdom and justice to everyone. Sometimes the judge

00:29is presented a case with evidence but cannot distinguish what is the truth and

00:34what is false. He may even give the verdict to the wrong person. Allah al

00:40haqam never wrongs anyone. He distinguishes between the truth and

00:45falsehood. Nothing can be hidden from him. He is the best of judges. When Allah

00:51judges, he does it with justice which is one of his names called al adl which

00:57will be explained in the next lesson. How should we live by this name? 1. If you

01:04are wrongly accused and judged by anyone and never got a proper judgment, don't

01:09lose hope. Allah is al haqam. He will get your justice and judgment for you

01:15because he is the most just, the wisest of all and the best of all judges. 2. Rush

01:22to good deeds. Always remember we will be judged in front of Allah for every

01:27action we do. So follow the teachings of the Quran and the Ahlulbayt because Allah

01:33has said, and follow what is revealed to you and practice patience until the time

01:39comes that Allah will judge and he is the best of judges. 3. Don't be too quick

01:45to judge others and when you do, judge them fairly with justice. Allah has said,

01:51and when you judge between people, judge with justice.
