00:00The ring of the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam
00:01was a silver ring, it had a ruby stone from Abyssinia.
00:06And one time the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam
00:07was wearing this ring and he looked at it a few times
00:10in the middle of a conversation.
00:11And then he was disappointed with himself,
00:13SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam,
00:15being distracted by his ring from his companions
00:18as they were speaking.
00:19So he actually took off his ring,
00:20SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam, and he cast it aside.
00:23And he said that,
00:24I was looking at this ring a few times,
00:26but I wanted to get it out of the way
00:27because it was distracting me from you,
00:30SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam.
00:31When he would point towards you,
00:33Alayhi Salatu Wasallam,
00:34he would not use a finger
00:36because if he pointed with his finger towards you,
00:39then you might feel like he's casting blame towards you.
00:42So the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam
00:43would only point with his entire hand
00:45so that you didn't feel like you were being blamed
00:48by his finger, SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam.
