People on the street: What makes Manchester Pride special?
Manchester Pride is finally here, so we’ve hit the streets of Manchester to ask what makes this wonderful celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.

00:00I'm Theo with Manchester World today. I'm out on the streets during Manchester Pride asking people why they love it, why it means so much to them. So here's what they've got to say.
00:08I just love that it's an opportunity for everyone to come together. It's such a destination to enjoy yourself as well.
00:13And I think whilst we can, it makes all the more reason to do it and have so much fun.
00:19It's just incredible. It makes you feel more comfortable and more whole.
00:23And just seeing so many people want to talk about everything that you know and you love, it just makes you feel like a part of it.
00:29It's a beautiful thing to see really.
00:31I think for me it's to show that there's so much work left to do in the community and for us to all get together and power in numbers.
00:40It's just brilliant. This is my first Pride. Honest to God, I've never walked through town so happy.
00:47Everybody's together. Everybody's celebrating Pride.
00:53The time spent together is the best.
00:56It brings family and friends together.
