Takahashi offers advice to PH volleyball team  Olympian and Japanese volleyball star Ran Takahashi shares his take on how the Philippine volleyball team can reach its potential. Takahashi highlighted the weak points of Asian volleyball: height, and power. If these two are addressed and improved, teams can match up with their European opponents. 00:00When you think about the European teams, America, and Brazil,

00:05Japan has the advantage in terms of height and power,

00:11and the Japanese team has the disadvantage of losing no matter what.

00:14In order to achieve that, we had to improve our high-quality,

00:19high-precision volleyball, and our skills.

00:27I think that high-precision volleyball is the most important thing.

00:31I, as well as other Japanese players,

00:34will try to play in international leagues,

00:37and I think that we need to improve our height and power,

00:44so that we can fight in the world.

00:57One of the weak points in an Asian country, in Asian teams,

01:00is the height, power, and height.

01:04If you compare it to other countries, like Brazil,

01:09we are still lower.

01:11So our improving point is that we need to do high-quality,

01:19and also the accuracy of the play,

01:23and also by playing in a foreign country's league,

01:29it will be more obvious.

01:31These are really important for improving the strongness of the team.
