00:00Hey Matt, do you have a favorite podcast at the moment?
00:03Yeah, I do. It's called the TED Radio Hour. It's produced by NPR Radio in America.
00:08It's a radio show, but they do a really great job of taking you on a journey through soundscapes,
00:14through really interesting topics. Like one of the ones I really loved is,
00:18it was about smell, and they interviewed somebody who was a smell historian,
00:22and they used audio to describe the battle scene and how it smelled at the Battle of Waterloo.
00:29Wow.
00:30Really impactful. I love it.
00:32That's amazing.
00:34What's yours?
00:35Mine at the moment is one called How Stories Happen,
00:39and it's by a guy called Jay Akunso, who's a bit of a brand storytelling guru.
00:43He's all about resonance over reach.
00:46And in this, he speaks to people who are very successful in their brands, in their business,
00:51and very successful storytellers, keynote speakers, that sort of thing,
00:54and he pulls apart their signature story.
00:57It's a behind-the-scenes into the story, and then he gets them to tell the story as well.
01:02And he's got a lovely soundscape with it. He plays around with music and has a lot of fun with that too.
01:06It's really interesting.
01:08I love that, because there's no boring stories, are there?
01:10No, there isn't.
01:11It shows that storytelling is a craft that you can actually learn and get better at.
01:17Everybody's story is really important,
01:19so it's wonderful that people are able to learn how to tell stories well.
