00:00The landscape, a picture postcard of rural America, cornfields and farmhouses.
00:07But don't be fooled by the image of bucolic tranquility.
00:11Here in Wisconsin, an electoral battle is raging.
00:14Don't let them get out when we walk in.
00:18These three farmers were happy to see Kamala Harris enter the race.
00:22Nobody in the U.S. is very happy to have two 80-year-old guys running for president, to
00:26actually switch one out and have a real viable candidate that, you know, looks like they
00:30want to actually lead the country and is looking forward to the future.
00:32I just wasn't sure if I would be for, at the time, Biden or if I would be independent.
00:37Probably more leaning towards voting Democrat.
00:40In 2020, Joe Biden won Wisconsin by just over 20,000 votes.
00:45This volunteer is now canvassing her town several times a week to try and convince the
00:49undecided voters critical to victory in this swing state.
00:52Hi, I'm Elizabeth McDonald.
00:54I'm a volunteer for the Democratic Party.
00:56How are you feeling about Kamala?
00:59Her strategy, to take the campaign directly into voters' homes as often as possible.
01:05This afternoon, she's with a knitting circle.
01:09I'm just doing some canvassing for Kamala.
01:12So how are you all feeling about this?
01:16I wasn't excited about his position in the Israel-Palestine war, so I wasn't really sure
01:23if I was going to vote. No, I think I will.
01:25Yeah.
01:27Once a solidly Democratic state, today, a significant percentage of Wisconsin's voters
01:32identify as independent.
01:34It's 10 electoral votes making it a crucial battleground in the race for the White House.
