00:00Good evening from Bari in the south of Italy for a Group B match between two teams who have starkly contrasting World Cups to look back on so far.
00:12Cameroon were the first nation to secure a place in the second round of the tournament thanks to dramatic victories over Argentina and Romania.
00:20Whilst the Soviet Union in white stumbled to defeat against the same two teams and come into what looks certain to be their final match in Italy still seeking their first goal.
00:31Yet the World Cup bookmakers made the USSR a fancy 16-1 shot to win the competition at the start of proceedings and were offering similar odds against Cameroon even registering a point in this upside down Group B.
00:47The Soviet Union have dropped Alexander Zamirov of Juventus for tonight's game.

17:20settle the game down and keep the Soviet Union out.
17:24Although they'll take a lot of credit for one of the
17:27most stirring performances we've seen in this World Cup tournament so far.
