Who is Leeds-bound winger Largie Ramazani?
Transcript
00:00Another one that was raised to me was Largi Ramazani, who is at Almeria, who is a Belgian youth international.
00:10You could be making these up.
00:12I'm not making them up. He does have an incredible name.
00:15I'll be honest, Jezerin Raksaki and Largi Ramazani do sound like players that you might have got on PES 06.
00:23Or PES 6, whatever it was.
00:25When they didn't have the rights.
00:27Didn't have the license.
00:30Ramazani is a Belgian youth international.
00:33I think he's 23 now. 23, 24.
00:37He was also at Charlton as a youngster.
00:41Then was signed by Manchester United.
00:44Was in their youth set-up for a while.
00:46Crucially, the reason I give this one a little bit of credence is because Somerville is technically a homegrown player for Leeds.
00:56He spent three years in English football for Leeds between the ages of 18 and 21.
01:03He qualifies as homegrown, as far as I'm aware.
01:06Ramazani, despite being Belgian, would also qualify because he was in English football up until his 21st birthday.
01:16I think he then moved to Almeria in Spain.
01:19He's got just under 12 months left on his contract there.
01:25I get the impression that he's the type of player whose entourage might be open to a move at this time in his career.
01:39Given that Almeria have been relegated from La Liga, obviously the top flight in Spain.
01:45He's a diminutive left winger.
01:50Right-footed, cuts inside, has a decent goals and assists record in the second tier in Spain when Almeria were in there previously.
01:59Does have a bit of a hot streak in him.
02:02I think he got two red cards last season.
02:04Does pick up quite a few yellows, but certainly would not be costing anywhere near the fee that Leeds are going to receive for Somerville.
