00:12in Los Angeles and its startup, Aquatic, to construct the facility.
00:17UCLA says the facility aims to be operational by next year, and the $20 million plant will
00:23have the capacity to remove more than 8 million pounds of CO2 from the ocean and the air per

00:30The U.S.-based university says the facility will use a technology developed by the school's
00:35startup, Aquatic, that uses electrolysis to transform carbon dioxide in seawater into
00:41stable, solid forms.
00:43The groundbreaking carbon removal technology was so revolutionary, Time magazine hailed
00:48it as one of the top inventions in 2023.
00:51And industry analysts say the innovative process could potentially be a game-changer for global
