Senate to pursue perjury charges vs Alice Guo

The Senate will pursue the filing of perjury charges against dismissed mayor Alice Guo or Guo Hua Ping, despite reports that she has already fled the country.  Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero said the Senate’s legal department is now building up an “airtight” case against Guo, who has continued to defy the Senate’s arrest order. 01:01...he will declare the default, he will file the case, he will issue a warrant. The case is pending until he appears in court and gets arraigned. So anytime he returns to the Philippines, there will be an additional warrant of arrest that can be issued against him.

01:20But if he is not found guilty, the case will be archived first, and if he appears again, he will be issued an alias warrant of arrest.
