00:00Quezon City LGU inactivated the quick response team after it was confirmed that the MFACS patient went to two establishments in Lungsod.
00:09My report, this is Clayzel Pardilla. Clay?
00:12Asic Dale, the quick response team of the local government of Quezon City was activated and they are continuously conducting contact tracing.
00:22It was confirmed that two establishments in Lungsod were visited by a 33-year-old man who tested positive for monkeypox or MFACS.
00:35Based on the investigation conducted by Asic Dale, the man had symptoms of MFACS on August 8, but he went to an illegal spa on August 11 and had sex with one of the clients there.
00:52After four days, the man went to a dermatology clinic in Quezon City for a check-up.
01:00Here, the symptoms of MFACS were seen on his skin, such as rashes on his face, hands, and scaly parts. The man was immediately tested and tested positive for the disease.
01:12Asic Dale, 41, was the close contact of his Quezon City local government.
01:21Twenty-eight people were considered type 1 or have direct contact, meaning the patient touched them and there was a possible sexual encounter.
01:33Here, the man's relatives were informed that he is a resident of Quezon City.
01:40As of now, the so-called direct contact of the patient is under quarantine. They are being monitored and the quarantine must be completed within 21 days until September 1.
01:55The symptoms of MFACS are yet to be seen on the man's skin.
02:04The condition of the so-called type 2 close contacts or those who were touched by the patient and those who are in type 3 or those who are only in one place is being monitored.
02:19Asic Dale is not yet vaccinated against monkeypox, that's why it's important for the Quezon City local government to conduct contact tracing, quarantine and monitoring on the case of MFACS.
02:33The QCLGU was instructed not to be alarmed. It will immediately report on the symptoms of monkeypox, such as fever and rashes.
02:45Meanwhile, Asic Dale was closed by the Quezon City local government. The man went to the SPA and was informed that there are no health certificates, sanitary permit and fire inspection permit.
03:00That is the latest from Quezon City. Back to you Asic Dale.
03:05Thank you very much, Clayzel Pardilla.
