00:00The Office of the President ordered the Department of Justice and the Department of Foreign Affairs
00:05to cancel the Philippine passports of the former Banban Tarlac Mayor, Alice Guo,
00:10as well as the passports of her family and a woman who is married to the Philippine Online Gaming Operator, or POGO.
00:18This was the next thing that was revealed when Alice Guo left the country on August 19 using her Philippine passport.
00:25It is said that the former mayor went to Singapore and is now in Indonesia.
00:30Based on a memorandum that was signed on August 20 by Executive Secretary Lucas Barzamin
00:36for the purpose of Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla and DFA Secretary Enrique Manalo,
00:41the Office of the President ordered the cancellation of Guo's passport
00:46along with the children of Wesley Leal Guo, Sheila Leal Guo, and POGO representative Catherine Cassandra Leong.
00:54Executive Secretary Barzamin referred to the Republic Act No. 11983, or the New Philippine Passport Act,
01:02in which it states that the cancellation of the Philippine passport
01:06if the holder or owner of it is a fugitive or hiding from justice.
01:10Barzamin also mentioned the arrest of Guo and his family.
01:15This was followed by the refusal to visit,
01:18in the middle of repeated invitations to the illegal activities of POGO in the country.
01:24In addition, Executive Secretary Barzamin also filed criminal complaints against Guo for trafficking.
