WHO: Mpox is not the new covid
The World Health Organisation’s regional director for Europe stressed that mpox is ‘not the new covid’, speaking at a media briefing this morning. The WHO has declared the recent outbreak as an ‘international health emergency’, urging countries to share tools such as vaccines and apply lessons learned from previous public health emergencies of international concern.
