00:00So, when the Rockies are bad, which they are, and the Padres are good, which they are, the
00:08Rockies always seem to have their number.
00:10Alex, take us through the numbers here.
00:11Yeah, on the season, the Padres are 5-8 against them.
00:15They've scored 56.
00:16They've given up 61.
00:17The Padres have the second-best batting average in baseball in the season, but they hit 262
00:21against the Colorado Rockies, which makes absolutely no sense.
00:25And it's especially worse, I think, when they play in Coors.
00:27I think they've won, like, two games there.
00:29Yeah, so we knew going in this weekend that the Padres could have trouble with the Rockies
00:34because they traditionally do.
00:36We assumed that Arizona would steamroll Tampa Bay, who's kind of a 500-type club, going
00:41into the weekend.
00:42And we weren't really sure what the Dodgers would do against St. Louis.
00:45St. Louis also kind of right there, like a game or so under 500, going into the weekend
00:50series.
00:51But here's what happens.
00:52The Dodgers take two out of three.
00:54The Padres lose two out of three.
00:56The Diamondbacks lose two out of three.
00:58And instead of the Padres—
00:59Diamondbacks got swept.
01:00Oh, excuse me.
01:01They got swept.
01:02Excuse me.
01:03Diamondbacks got swept, yeah.
01:04So instead of the Padres being back—you can put up the standings—they were two games
01:08back as of Friday.
01:10As of today, the Padres are three games back, and Arizona, thanks for the correction, they
01:14got swept.
01:15They're now four games back.
01:17Two teams, both two games back on Friday, but leave it to L.A. to go two out of three.
01:21And oh, by the way, this is where L.A. could start to make some moves here.
01:27When I say make moves, you know how all these guys are always getting hurt on their pitching
01:31staff?
01:32Last week, they lost another young guy to a Tommy John surgery.
01:34What do they do?
01:35They reinsert Clayton Kershaw, and Clayton Kershaw progressively, game by game by game,
01:40is getting better, and this past weekend was his best.
