DMW, OWWA assure assistance to Filipinos in Lebanon who wish to return to PH

00:00The Department of Migrant Workers, or DMW, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration,

00:05or OWA, assured assistance will be provided to overseas Filipino workers, or OFWs, from

00:11Lebanon who wish to return to the country.

00:14The Embassy of the Philippines in Lebanon has been continuously urging Filipino workers

00:18there to return home amid the rising tension.

00:22DMW Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak says, at present, the government is on voluntary or patriation

00:28mode and assures that aid will be given to Filipinos whether they are documented or undocumented.

00:36We are monitoring their situation.

00:38We're talking to Filipino communities on the ground.

00:40We're bringing them to safe shelter, and speaking of shelter, we have a shelter ready for them.

00:46And then, of course, may crisis plan tayo.

00:49We're all set.

00:50We're all ready.

00:51We're prepared, you know, in terms of our crisis management plans.

00:54Hopefully, the situation doesn't get worse.

00:57But we are ready in case the situation gets worse.
