00:00Meanwhile, the government has agreed with the Filipinos from Lebanon
00:05that they want to go back to the Philippines.
00:07At the same time, the Department of Migrant Workers and OWA
00:11is waiting for help from the Filipinos who want to go back to their country from Lebanon.

00:21The call of the Philippine Embassy to Overseas Filipino Workers in Lebanon
00:26is loud. They want to go back to the Philippines.
00:29This is followed by a continuous tension in Lebanon.
00:32For now, according to Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Liu Kakdak,
00:35the government is in a voluntary repatriation mode for the Filipinos in Lebanon.
00:40Documented or undocumented, according to Secretary Kakdak,
00:44they will help and prepare the government.
00:47And we are monitoring their situation.
00:50We're talking to Filipino communities on the ground.
00:52We're bringing them to safe shelter.
00:54And speaking of shelter, we have a shelter ready for them.
00:57And then, of course, we have a crisis plan.
01:00We're all set. We're all ready.
01:02We're prepared in terms of our crisis management plans.
01:06Hopefully, the situation doesn't get worse.
01:09But we are ready in case the situation gets worse.
01:13According to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration,
01:16for those who want to go back to their country,
01:18they can fill out a form on the link provided in their social media accounts.
01:24For those who need immediate help,
01:26they can also call on their hotlines.
01:29First, the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon urged the Filipinos there
01:32to repatriate while the airport is still operational.
01:36The Filipinos there also urged to evacuate to a safer place.
01:40Meanwhile, it's time for the Filipinos to go home.
01:44Secretary Kakdak assured the help of the government.
01:47The President, since day one also,
01:49convened us all since day one,
01:51the relevant government agencies,
01:53DOH, DOLE, DFA, TESDA, DMW, OWA,
01:58to come together and provide the utmost post-repatriation assistance,
02:03so post-arrival assistance.
02:05So, we're joint forces.
02:07First here, 150,000 pesos of financial assistance
02:11for each OFW from the Migrant Workers Department and OWA.
02:15The President also said to increase the financial assistance rate.
02:19So, from 50,000, we made it 75,000 from DMW,
02:2375,000 from OWA, so that's 150,000 financial assistance upon return.
02:28And then, of course, there is the DOH, Secter de Herbosa,
02:31with physical checkups upon arrival and psychosocial counseling ready.
02:38And then, Secrex, Kachalyan, and DSWD with livelihood and financial assistance.
02:43TESDA, through DG Benitez, will be providing the training vouchers.
02:50TESDA will also provide training to them.
02:52DOLE will also help to have jobs here for the returning OFWs.
02:57According to the government, more than 11,000 OFWs are in Lebanon.
03:02Most of them are living in Beirut.
03:05Just last weekend, there were 15 who came home.
03:08And about a thousand have expressed interest to come home.
03:12But 45 said they're ready to come home, so that 45 will be coming home soon.
