00:00The Department of Migrant Workers has announced that it will help Filipinos to return home from Lebanon amid the chaos there.
00:10DMW Secretary Hans Leo Katnak is with them as well as those who will benefit from the increased financial assistance for the displaced OFWs.

00:25From Php 50,000, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has increased the financial assistance for the displaced OFWs just like the OFWs returning home from Lebanon.
00:44According to Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Katnak, President R. Marcos' order is for the OFWs to reunite to help the OFWs in Lebanon.
00:54President R. Marcos' order is to increase the financial assistance rate from Php 50,000 to 75,000 from DMW and 75,000 from OFW.
01:03So that's Php 150,000 financial assistance upon return.
01:07And then of course, there is the DOH, Sekted Erbosa, with physical checkups upon arrival and psychosocial counseling ready.
01:17And then Sekreks, Kachalyan, and DSWD with livelihood.
01:21But if Secretary Katnak is clear, the OFWs who first returned from Lebanon and first received Php 50,000 are not included here.
01:31The training voucher will also be given to them.
01:34According to the secret, the DOLE will also help the returning OFWs to have a job here.
01:40Most of all, the Philippine Embassy is repeatedly calling on the OFWs to return to our country.
01:47According to Secretary Katnak, the government is already in a voluntary repatriation mode for the Filipinos in Lebanon.
01:54Documented or undocumented, they will help and prepare the government.
02:00We're monitoring their situation, we're talking to Filipino communities on the ground, we're bringing them to safe shelter.

02:17Hopefully the situation doesn't get worse, but we are ready in case the situation gets worse.
02:24According to the Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration, for those who wish to return to the country,
02:29they can fill out a form on the link provided in their social media accounts.
02:34For those who need immediate help, they can also call on their hotline.
02:39The Filipinos there are also encouraged to evacuate to a safer place.
02:44The President, since day one also, convened us all, since day one, the relevant government agencies,
02:50DOH, DOLE, DFA, TESDA, TMW, OAH, to come together and provide the utmost post-repatriation assistance, post-arrival assistance.

03:04There are more than 11,000 OFWs in Lebanon.
03:07Most are found in Beirut.
03:10As of now, more than 300 have availed of the government's repatriation program.
03:15Just last weekend, there were 15 who came home.
03:18And about 1,000 have expressed interest to come home.
03:22But 45 said they're ready to come home, so that 45 will be coming home soon.
03:27Hopefully, later this week, they are right now undergoing through Lebanese immigration procedures,
03:34as facilitated by our embassy and our labor attache, our migrant workers office in Beirut.
