00:00The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, has expressed his anger
00:06and displeasure towards former Prime Minister Tanshri Muhyiddin Yassin for allegedly making
00:11cynical remarks about the sultan of Pahang.
00:14Tengku Hassanal on Monday said Muhyiddin's statement manipulated the facts and brought
00:18about a negative narration to the people that the sultan and the then-young Dipertuan Agong
00:23al-Sultan Abdullah Riayatuddin al-Mustafa Billah Shah did not act justly when he picked
00:29the tenth prime minister.
00:31He said Muhyiddin's remarks also reflected immaturity, as though he could not accept
00:36the fact that he was not appointed the prime minister.
00:39He cited Article 40, Section 2 of the federal constitution where the prime minister is appointed
00:44at the discretion of the young Dipertuan Agong as head of the state.
00:48He said the prime minister must be appointed based on the king's view that he has the majority
00:53support of parliament members, and al-Sultan Abdullah did not make a hasty decision on
00:58the appointment.
00:59He wanted the police to take action, saying that Muhyiddin had deliberately touched on
01:04the race, religion and royalty issues.
01:07Pahang police said they had received a total of 28 police reports against Muhyiddin and
01:12added that the federal police will conduct investigations into the case.
01:17The police said Muhyiddin will be called in to give his statement.
01:21Muhyiddin allegedly made remarks that touched on the three R issues during the campaigning
01:25period for the just-concluded Nengeri by-election.
