Aired (August 16, 2024): Join K-Pop idol and Sparkle artist Chanty on her journey through the Philippines as she embarks on a historic tour of Intramuros.

00:36Yes, super ready and excited because I won't be going on a walking tour anymore.
00:41I'll be riding on a personal transport device or PTV, which is a segway.
00:47PTV, it's like a name, it's so high-tech.
00:50But of course, before you get to know me, I know that there are many people who want to get to know me.
00:55Right? So, mga ka-amazing, let's get to know more about Shanti.

01:33Shanti is a resident of Rizal, and she became a second home to Argentina.
01:38She even explored Bariloche, the world-famous little Switzerland of Argentina.
01:45I just wanted to see the waterfalls.
01:48But I ended up hiking.
01:51But it's so pretty though.

01:55Her most extreme adventure is bungee jumping in the world's highest commercial bungee jump facility,

02:10Now, she's ready to explore the Philippines.
02:14And her first stop,
02:17Intramuros.

02:27But instead of riding the road, we'll go around using Segway!

02:40So Bryant, what should I remember so I won't fall while riding the Segway?
02:46What you need to remember is to balance, of course.
02:51Lean your body forward.
02:53Forward, for the forward.
02:55And lean your body backward, for the backward.
02:58Turn left.
03:01Then turn right.
03:02Turn right.
03:05Then if you want to turn around, just focus on turning one time, or turn around.

03:59Intramuros is the oldest district in Manila.
04:05Second stop, San Agustin Church!
04:10San Agustin Church is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.
04:19And for the third and last stop, Manila Cathedral!
04:27It's my first time visiting Intramuros.
04:31And the experience was a plus because of the Segway.
04:36It's just so nice to feel the breeze, and you're just riding the Segway.

04:57Is this your first time here at Intramuros?
04:59Yes, it's my first time actually.
05:02Okay, so you have a lot of firsts, even when riding the Segway for the first time.
05:06Yes, it was my first time earlier.
05:08I was so scared when I tried it for the first time because it needs to be balanced.
05:14So how was it? How was your experience touring Intramuros for the first time using a Segway for the first time?
05:19It was fun because it's super comfy.
05:25Of course, if you go to a tourist spot, you have to walk.
05:30And you don't have to worry about everything.
05:32But with Segway, I really appreciated the place.
05:36I was able to visit the places I wanted to visit.
05:39And it was just so nice. It was fun.
05:42Yeah, I liked it.
05:43How did you feel when you saw these walls in Intramuros that are so rich in stories?
05:49What did you feel when you saw them?
05:51I don't know how to explain it, but it felt different.
05:54Because, of course, as a Filipino, I felt the history.
06:00I appreciated it even more.
06:02I was amazed because the culture here in the Philippines is mixed.
06:06And we can see it in the structures and in the history.
06:10It was amazing.

06:19Especially to those who haven't toured the beautiful Intramuros.

06:27you might as well visit Intramuros.
