00:00Millions of Filipinos are working in other countries.
00:03There are seamen, teachers, housekeepers, and construction workers.
00:07But one of our fellow Filipinos in Japan is a farmer.
00:11Why did the Philippines think of becoming a farmer?
00:19One of Japan's most popular travel destinations for Filipinos.
00:24For an ordinary person or celebrity, this is the chosen place to go on vacation.
00:33But as we all know, not all Filipinos who go to Japan are on vacation.
00:39But recently, we met a hardworking Filipino who works 7 days a week.
00:45He's a factory worker and a farmer.
00:48This is Annabelle Banday-Seo.
00:51She's better known online as Inday Abel Visaya.
00:55Hello, Ka-Amazing! I'm from the province of Pinay, Japan.
00:59Welcome to our farm!
01:04Inday Abel is a resident of Chimayne Prefecture, a province in Honshu Island.
01:11I'm Visaya from Davao City, Mindanao.
01:14I came to Japan in the late 90s.
01:17Back then, we were called cultural entrepreneurs.
01:24But in the late 1990s, she met her future husband, Suji Seo, also known as Dana.
01:32Dana and I met while I was working as a solo singer.
01:41I can say that he's the man God gave me.
01:46Inday Abel and Dana have been together as husband and wife for 24 years.
01:51They were also blessed with two children, a boy and a girl.
01:56Their culture is Japanese.
01:58Their language is pure Japanese.
02:02But when we're at home, we have a mix of English.
02:06Next, we will see Inday Abel's life as a queen of the farm in Japan.
02:12Stay tuned!
02:13Like other OFWs, it wasn't easy for Inday Abel Visaya
02:17to leave her loved ones in the Philippines to work in Japan.
02:21But all her acquaintances changed the people she will be with for the rest of her life.
02:28We also have our own jobs.
02:30Dana works in a machinery company.
02:33As for me, I work in a processing food.
02:37As a factory worker, I work from Monday to Friday.
02:41And on Saturdays and Sundays, we work in the fields.
02:46The good thing about this is that Suji Dana Seo,
02:49the wife of Inday Abel Visaya, owns four hectares of land.
02:55Look at the grass, guys.
02:57Now, we have to remove it so that it's not in the way of our harvest.
03:02And the quality is good when we remove the grass.
03:06Until she gives birth, the wife still helps.
03:10Aside from rice, the wife also enjoys planting rice or taro,
03:15as well as black beans.
03:17This is our bonding on Saturdays and weekends.
03:20We have a date here.
03:23Okay, farmer, this is what we harvested today.
03:26We got six containers.
03:29We bring it to the market.
03:31And God's mercy, it's a big help when we take care of what we plant.
03:36Sometimes, we earn a lot from planting.
03:40Not everyone lives like this.
03:42It just so happens that this is my life.
03:46This is what God gave me.
03:49We just have to work hard to plant.
03:51We have a lot of wealth in this land.
03:55In the Philippines, Manos, and Japan, like Inday Abel Visaya,
03:58the farmers are the true heroes of the society.
