00:00Let's take it out to the Tropicana field, the Denver Bay Rays playing host to the Arizona
00:08Diamondbacks.
00:09The Diamondbacks have been playing some fantastic baseball, rattled off five of the last five
00:14there.
00:15They're booked.
00:16Well, it's close to a pick-em here with a low total set for this one, Donnie, at eight
00:19over at the Fandled Sportsbook.
00:21Wren Nelson gets the start there for the Diamondbacks with a 4-5-1 ERA.
00:26What do we expect for the Rays looking to roll at home?
00:29Boy, Dubs, isn't it hard to go against the Diamondbacks?
00:32Sometimes you do have to ride out streaks and give those teams the benefit of the doubt.
00:35There are no freebies in Major League Baseball or in sports handicapping, but sometimes you
00:38take a look at price points and go, hmm, that looks a little bit off.
00:41Yes, the Diamondbacks are on the road.
00:42It's not the greatest environment to play the Tampa Bay Rays in that dome.
00:45And Pepeo is coming back to the mound here for those Rays.
00:48He actually had a pretty good start to the season, 352 batters he's faced, a low iso
00:52and a low weighted on base percentage against them.
00:55We'll see how he does.
00:56You just look at that Diamondbacks lineup.
00:58Like I always use Dubs like weighted on base percentage and iso power numbers to tell me
01:02what's going on.
01:03And particularly, I like to focus on the last 30 days, how hot have those batters been.
01:07Outside of Blaze Alexander, who's only had five at bats in the past 30 days against right-handed
01:12pitching, if you remove him from the equation, all eight of the other batters, monster high
01:17iso power numbers, monster high weighted on base percentages here.
01:20They should be able to hit.
01:21And the question is, can Tampa Bay keep up?
01:24It's not a great offense.
01:26If you look at Ryan Nelson, one of those pitchers coming into the season, you probably feel
01:28like, you know what?
01:29You can fade this guy on a day-to-day basis.
01:31Not the case anymore.
01:32Dubs, his last 121 batters he's faced over the past 30 days, an iso power number of 118
01:37and a weighted on base percentage of 273 against.
01:40That's spectacular.
01:41And conversely, we just saw the Diamondbacks lineup and how potent it looks.
01:44It's the opposite for the Rays.
01:46You have Brandon Lowe and Josh, excuse me, Brandon Lowe and Josh Lowe in the lineup.
01:52Ridiculous.
01:53The only two batters that are above average on iso and weighted on base percentages, everybody
01:58else is below.
01:59I got to go with Arizona today, Dubsy.
