Bengals' Joe Burrow Returns, Ja'Marr Chase Seeks Higher Pay

00:00Let me ask you two questions about the Bengals quickly. Joe Burrow last year, devastating
00:06injury to his throwing wrist, rehabs it all offseason, got the surgery. He says he's going
00:11to be okay. Secondary, Jamar Chase, one of the best wide receivers in football, wants
00:16a new payday, doesn't look like he's going to get that. We always talk about those like
00:19the vibes need to be high entering into the season. You're good players, you're great
00:24players, you always want to take care of them. Are there any issues inside the locker room
00:28for you on the Bengals, not only heading into this preseason game, but certainly early in
00:32the weeks here in September?
00:34Now, I don't have boots on the ground, Johnny, but for me, I don't like what I've seen going
00:38through the offseason. It's great to have Joe Burrow back at full health. He's a top
00:42five quarterback in the league. Absolutely. There's no Joe Mixon. Now Zach Moss comes
00:46in at running back. They've lost Tyler Boyd. Mike Izzechi comes in at tight end. But for
00:51Jamar Chase, in looking to try and get paid, Justin Jefferson's deal got done there for
00:55$25 million per year. So obviously Jamar Chase, he wants the same number, even going
01:01to try and reset the market there again. This is not what you want to see. You want to get
01:05every player buying in, especially the star power. You've got Joe Burrow happy, but he
01:09needs a couple of fantastic wide receivers to be thrown to. And they've got to want that
01:13skin in the game for Jamar Chase. They've got to get this deal sorted prior to week
01:18one. So everything looks fine for who day nation. So yeah, a little cause for concern,
