00:00On the 16th of September, 22 out of 1, I took a seizure from a major brain tumour.
00:08In a way, I feel like it's made me stronger, and I try and look for the positives instead
00:13of the negatives.
00:21Stephen delayed his radiotherapy for a little bit because we wanted to have one more, because
00:25we didn't want to risk him never being able to have one.
00:29And I actually think it was the month before he started his chemo, we found out about Remy,
00:35so I don't know, I feel like it was just meant to happen.
00:37The immunotherapy treatment, it's a newer treatment for cancers, the NHS has it for
00:43different kinds of cancers but not brain tumours, and I think that's because brain tumours only
00:48get 1% of funding, so they're quite far behind.
00:52It would make me happy because I get to see my kids grow up, I thought I'd see them graduate
00:57from school, university, their boyfriends, just to see them grow up would be nice.
01:03We got a message on our GoFundMe from a lady who helps with setting up the truck nest,
01:11and she'd heard our story, she wanted to do something for us, and because Stephen used
01:16to drive trucks, she invited us to go along to truck nests, thought it'd be nice to be
01:22part of the community, and they came over to drop off the tickets, and they had gifts
01:27for the little ones, little hoodies with their names and truck nests on it, so that was really nice.
01:35That was our first day out as a family since Stephen had been feeling ill, so it was nice
01:39to be able to get out for a couple of hours.
01:41He's had blood transfusions, so we want to wait until he's in top health, because we
01:47don't want to waste this opportunity, so basically what we're going to do is get him better,
01:54and then we'll be booking the treatment.
01:56It's got the potential to make him cancer free, so if he's cancer free then I think
02:02he's got as much opportunity as anybody to live as long as, you know, anybody can.
02:11I'm a daddy of somebody I love, so hopefully she'll get well soon.
02:15Daddy!
02:17Daddy!
02:19I love you.
