20:51First of all, keep in mind that Allah Almighty says in Quran-e-Hameed,
21:10We have honoured the children of Adam.
21:18And there is no mention of any religion here.
21:21Certainly, Muslims are better than other nations in every respect.
21:29But other humans too, as humans, Allah Almighty has honoured them.
21:40In this regard, we should keep this in mind.
21:45In Sufism, this blessed hadith is often presented,
21:53which is quoted in Nishqat-ul-Masabi,
21:57that the creation of Allah is the dome of Allah Almighty.
22:04The creation of Allah is the family of Allah Almighty.
22:09And in this regard, we can learn a lot from the various narrations of Huzoor.
22:21Syed Ali bin Usman Hujweri A.S. has mentioned two Prophets in a special context.
22:29One, he says,
22:31Hazrat Sayyidina Adam A.S. used to accompany someone or the other on his desk every day.
22:41Once it happened that no guest came for three days.
22:47On the third day, someone knocked on the door.
22:51He asked, who are you?
22:53He said, I am the Fire God.
22:55He said, you cannot be my guest.
22:58On this, from Allah Almighty,
23:02Sayyidina Ibrahim A.S.,
23:05who is the grandfather of the Prophets,
23:07was instructed,
23:10O Ibrahim, I have provided sustenance for him for seventy years.
23:15If you had to give one bread, one bread,
23:20you have deviated from it.
23:23He is my creation.
23:25He does not believe in me.
23:26He believes that the Fire is God.
23:28But, I have provided sustenance for him.
23:32So, brothers,
23:34in our Sufism,
23:37in the teachings of Sufism,
23:39there is a lot for the one who has remained peaceful.
23:43Our Prophet, peace be upon him,
23:47when the son of Hatim Ta'i,
23:51the Adi, comes,
23:53the Prophet, peace be upon him,
23:55spreads a blanket for him.
23:57Although he had not believed till that time.
24:00And the Prophet, peace be upon him,
24:03said,
24:04Whenever a person of any nation comes to you,
24:09give him respect and honour.
24:11So, in the case of Muslims,
24:13this should not be the case.
24:15We find many incidents, Alhamdulillah.
24:18Our elders have given very clear examples.
24:21Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifa, peace be upon him,
24:24was a neighbor, a Jew.
24:26And he used to treat you badly.
24:31So, you did not pay any attention to him.
24:34Once, when he was very tired,
24:37he turned his nose towards you.
24:40And in your bosom,
24:42his filth and everything fell.
24:44And you did not have any effect.
24:47Neither did you call him,
24:48nor did you scold him,
24:49nor did you complain to him.
24:51So, one day he realized,
24:53how bad a person I am.
24:55How big a person lives in my neighborhood.
24:59I torture him so much.
25:00And what did Imam Sahib do?
25:02He used to keep a pot there.
25:04In that, all the dirty water used to fall.
25:06And he used to throw it outside.
25:08He himself stopped.
25:10Three days passed.
25:12Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifa, peace be upon him,
25:15went to his house and knocked on the door.
25:18And he said,
25:20You used to take care of me.
25:24Daily, you used to throw water here,
25:27which I used to throw outside.
25:29Three days passed,
25:31you did not take care of me.
25:33I was afraid,
25:35that you might fall ill.
25:38So, I have come to take your news.
25:41And what was to happen?
25:43He believed in the Prophet, peace be upon him.
25:46I have many such examples of Sufis in my mind.
25:53But my respected ones are looking at me again and again.
25:58This is an indication,
26:00that I should not prolong my speech.
26:02Just one last thing.
26:04The Sufis,
26:06who treat the people of other religions well,
26:14for this, they have a model.
26:16Misak-e-Madina,
26:18the Charter of Medina.

35:35He created us as individuals
35:37different to each other on some level
35:39psychologically, emotionally, physically,
35:41mentally.
35:43With all these differences amongst
35:45mankind, we then needed a system
35:47to deal with it in order for us to exist
35:49peacefully on this earth.
35:51And to this end, Allah gave us
35:53Islam.
35:55That teaches us to deal amicably
35:57with these differences amongst
35:59mankind by encouraging us to be
36:01united instead of
36:03striving to be uniform.
36:05My brothers, in Islam,
36:07the unity of Muslims is not only
36:09based in believing in the oneness
36:11wahdaniyat of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
36:13We have that in common with the Jews
36:15and Orthodox Christians.
36:17But rather, Muslims are distinguished
36:19from all other religions in their
36:21unity based on ishq-e-mustafa
36:23sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam.
36:25This love of Rasulullah
36:27sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam is part of
36:29the essence of Islam. And wherever
36:31these united Muslims went, they took
36:33with them in their hearts the love of Rasulullah
36:35which manifested in them
36:37the miraculous character
36:39of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam
36:41and that is what changed
36:43the world and gave birth to
36:45one of the greatest civilizations
36:47that mankind has ever seen.
36:49Humanity flocked to Islam
36:51and as they flocked to Islam,
36:53they converted to Islam in droves.
36:55Islam united people
36:57in ishq-e-mustafa and brought out
36:59the best in them. It introduced
37:01a way of living that was based on
37:03a perfect human being, insaani kamil
37:05ya'ani Rasulullah sallallahu
37:07alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam. A man in whom
37:09we find all that we are looking for
37:11that would suit each
37:13one of our personalities and this
37:15my brothers, is the vastness
37:17of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam.
37:19So when individuals came into
37:21the orbit of Rasulullah, although
37:23they retained their individualistic

37:31with others in ishq-e-mustafa
37:33sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam
37:35and that is exactly how
37:37Sayyidina Abu Bakr remained Abu Bakr
37:39but also became Siddiq-e-Akbar
37:41because he is following
37:43Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam
37:45Sayyidina Umar remained Umar
37:47but became Farooq-e-Azam because
37:49he is following Rasulullah sallallahu
37:51alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam. Sayyidina Usman
37:53remained Usman but became Zun-Nurain
37:55because he is following Rasulullah
37:57sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam
37:59Maula Ali remained Maula
38:01Maula Ali remained Ali but
38:03also became Maula-e-Qainat
38:05because he is following Rasulullah
38:07sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam
38:09Let me finish by making my point
38:11very very clear. Each one of them
38:13have distinct, unique qualities
38:15and yet each one of them in
38:17ishq-e-mustafa was united
38:19and this was the secret to their success
38:21and secret to their strength in this world
38:23and the next world. My brothers, we must
38:25understand this today. Take this one thing
38:27away with you. That the key, that which
38:29is the key to our salvation. Our
38:31parade back to glory. Remember
38:33we are not all meant to look the same
38:35We are not all meant to
38:37speak the same. We are not all meant to
38:39walk the same way. We have different
38:41cultures. We have different tongues
38:43We are people of many nations, cultures
38:45and tribes. But as Muslims
38:47we are all meant to be united
38:49united in la ilaha illallah
38:51Muhammadur Rasulullah sallallahu
38:53alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam. United in the
38:55wahdaniyat of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
38:57United in ishq-e-mustafa
38:59and if you want examples, let me give you four
39:01examples and then I'm done. Look at Bani
39:03Najjar. Once they were united in
39:05ishq-e-mustafa, they came out and sang
39:07tal al-badru alayna. An expression
39:09in song of ishq-e-mustafa that
39:11we sing to this day and inshallah
39:13we'll do so till yawm al-qiyamah. Look at the Turks
39:15nomadic tribes without
39:17solidarity, without unity but
39:19when they united in ishq-e-mustafa
39:21sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam
39:23they became one of the best
39:25that the world has ever seen. Look at
39:27the Andalusians. When they united
39:29in ishq-e-mustafa sallallahu
39:31alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam, they started to thrive
39:33they invented crystal glass
39:35they created the best and most
39:37innovative irrigative and water system
39:39the world had ever seen.
39:41Look at the Persians. They were
39:43revived. They had fallen into corruption
39:45and disarray but then Islam
39:47came with ishq-e-mustafa
39:49and they were infused with a new
39:51life and suddenly once again
39:53they became the wonder of the world. Let me
39:55say this to you my brothers. It was in
39:57Islam the power of ishq-e-mustafa
39:59that gave birth to
40:01Rumi and his teachings. It was in Islam
40:03the power of ishq-e-mustafa
40:05that gave birth to Jami and
40:07his teachings. It was in Islam the
40:09power of ishq-e-mustafa that gave
40:11birth to Huzoor Ghosul Azam
40:13and his teachings. It was in Islam
40:15the power of ishq-e-mustafa that
40:17gave birth to Data Ali Hajweri
