00:30Hey everyone, in this video I'm going to be demoing the Evans ST-Dry Snare Drum Head.
00:47This is one of my favorite snare drum heads just because I can get that loud crack and
00:51tons of volume with a little bit of ring but it's also got the control that I like and
00:57so this is 2-ply head, each ply is 7.5 mils and on the outer edge you're going to see
01:03these precision drilled holes and they look very very precise and these are just basically
01:10to give the head more control and to control some of that unwanted sustain so it's a really
01:16good sounding head.
01:17This head would work great for rock, it would work great for funk, it would work great even
01:21if you're playing metal because you've got that 2 plies in there so you're going to have
01:24a lot of durability.
01:26I believe the ST stands for super tough, could be wrong but I think it's super tough.
01:32But definitely check out the ST-Dry, it's a great sounding head.
01:35So I'm just going to play a little bit more for you to show you guys how it sounds, here we go.
