00:00The bilateral meeting of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam was fruitful.
00:07With the Philippines' participation in Singapore's Memorandum of Understanding,
00:12Philippine health care workers and the cooperation of the two countries on carbon credits were included in the recruitment.
00:18The MOU on health cooperation was also agreed upon
00:22by the Philippine Local Government Units and Singaporean Private Sector Partners.
00:28The two leaders also discussed some regional issues that are important to the two countries,
00:34particularly the West Philippine Sea.
00:36Meanwhile, the Singaporean leader also emphasized their readiness
00:40for a deeper and stronger cooperation in the Philippines,
00:44especially in the expansion of investment in the country.
00:49Yesterday, Singaporean President Shanmugaratnam arrived for a three-day state visit.
00:59The Philippines remains optimistic in fostering closer and enhanced cooperation with Singapore
01:04in existing areas such as defense and security, trade and investment,
01:09and new areas such as sustainability and in energy.
01:13MOUs in the fields of health and maritime security are already in the pipeline
01:18and we anticipate for them to be finalized in the very near future.
