00:00Southport Flower Show is the UK's largest independent flower show and annually attracts
00:07over 55,000 visitors across four days. Visitors to this year's show are being treated to floral
00:13displays, gardening advice, show jumping, cookery demonstrations, live music, entertainment and more.
00:20BBC broadcaster TV Personality and Southport's own Adele Roberts opened this year's show. Every day
00:26of the show there's a programme of family entertainment in the arena, including live
00:30music, show jumping and performances by the West Lanx dog display team and birds of prey.
00:36In the demonstration kitchen, guests can savour live masterclasses from Chef Matt Tebbett,
00:41Simon Rimmer, Nisha Katona and Phil Vickery. There's also a special 100th anniversary dessert
00:48to sample, designed by Southport baker Gemma Melvin, who created the Platinum Pudding,
00:54the official dish for the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee.
