09:06And also, Allah dispelled their behavior in performing their worship in an inappropriate way,
09:12which is by whistling, by tapping, and not with the calmness that Allah SWT demanded.
09:21And Allah SWT also affirmed that everything that they did on the path of Allah, I'm sorry,
09:28everything that they did to prevent people from the path of Allah SWT, all of it is a waste.
09:38Then Allah SWT said that how these people, these bad people, Allah will gather them all in one place,
09:45then Allah will throw them all into the hell.
09:50Then this verse came. If we look at the previous verse, it was as if Allah dispelled their behavior,
09:56gave them a threat, threatened them with the hell.
10:02Then the verse came, which was as if the army of the polytheists arose.
10:06What did Allah SWT say in the 38th verse? Allah said,
10:12O Muhammad, say to the polytheists,
10:20If they stop, then everything that they did in the past will be forgiven by Allah SWT.
10:29This verse, ladies and gentlemen, shows the vast mercy of Allah.
10:34Ladies and gentlemen, you must realize that we are still talking about the battle of Badr.
10:40When this verse came, it was a warning to the army of the polytheists who had lost the battle of Badr.
10:46Allah is still calling them, even though their resistance is a huge resistance,
10:53Allah is still calling them to return to Him.

14:44may Allah SWT bless us.
14:45We are still at page 181 in verse 38.
14:52Where Allah SWT says to the disbelievers,
14:56that if they stop from disbelief,
14:59Allah will surely forgive their past sins.
15:02And if they go against the Prophet SAW again,
15:06Allah's Sunnah against those who have been destroyed.
15:12Ladies and gentlemen,
15:13may Allah SWT bless us.
15:14We have just mentioned how this verse describes
15:18Allah SWT's vast mercy.
15:21Allah SWT says,

15:25My mercy encompasses all things.
15:28In this verse,
15:29we have to understand that this verse is after the Battle of Badr.
15:34And the Battle of Badr is the battle where the disbelievers
15:36showed their great resistance to the Prophet SAW's call.
15:42However, Allah's mercy encompasses all things.
15:45Allah's mercy encompasses all things.
15:48Therefore, Allah SWT still gives them the chance
15:54to return to Allah SWT.
15:58Allah SWT says,
16:00Muhammad said to the disbelievers,
16:02If you stop from all your acts of disbelief,
16:08from all your shirk,
16:10what will you get?
16:14Allah will forgive your sins.
16:17It doesn't matter if you were a very evil person in the time of Jahiliyyah.
16:23However, if you enter Islam and become a good person,
16:26Allah will take care of that.
16:28Allah will forgive all your sins.
16:31Therefore, the interpreters mention the story of Amru ibn al-As.
16:36Amru ibn al-As, ladies and gentlemen,
16:38was a person who originally resisted the Prophet SAW.
16:43However, he entered Islam in the 7th Hijrah.
16:47So, it's a bit late.
16:49So, if we look at Amru ibn al-As,
16:53he has stated several battles against the Prophet SAW.
16:57However, in the 7th Hijrah,
16:59Allah SWT bestowed upon him guidance.
17:03So, he came to the Prophet SAW
17:06wanting to enter Islam.
17:09The Prophet SAW was very happy.
17:12So, the Prophet SAW wanted to take alms from Amru ibn al-As.
17:17However, Amru ibn al-As gave a condition.
17:20This is strange.
17:21He came to enter Islam,
17:22but he wanted to ask for a condition.
17:24So, the Prophet SAW asked,
17:26what is the condition?
17:27What did you require?
17:28What is the condition of Amru ibn al-As?
17:30To be forgiven for all sins.
17:34So, we understand, ladies and gentlemen,
17:36Amru ibn al-As realized that
17:38what he had been doing all this while,
17:41from the opposition to the Prophet SAW,
17:44even from his physical resistance to the Prophet SAW,
17:48he asked to be forgiven for all sins,
17:52only then will he agree to enter Islam.
17:54What did the Prophet SAW reply?
17:56Allah SWT said,
17:57Do you not realize?
18:02Do you not know that Islam actually removes all the sins that were committed before this?
18:12And also, the act of emigrating from one place,
18:16i.e. emigrating from Mecca to Madinah,
18:18also removes the sins that were committed before this.
18:21And lastly, the Prophet SAW said,
18:24And also, the act of emigrating also removes all the sins that were committed before this.
18:31Because if we, Alhamdulillah, ladies and gentlemen,
18:33maybe many of us have been born in Islam,
18:38and we, Alhamdulillah,
18:40to say that we have entered Islam is not true,
18:42because we were born in Islam,
18:44and if we want to emigrate,
18:45emigration is no longer there,
18:46because emigration happened during the time of the Prophet SAW,
18:49but there is still a space,
18:51i.e. Hajj.
18:53If we perform Hajj,
18:55according to the way taught by the Prophet SAW,
18:58with full sincerity to Allah SWT,
19:01then, God willing,
19:02those who return to the Hajj,
19:06Allah SWT said,
19:08that there is no reward for them other than Paradise.
19:11So, we understand from this verse, ladies and gentlemen,
19:13if Amru ibn al-Aas,
19:15who openly opposed the Prophet SAW,
19:18also forgave his sins,
19:20then, what is the point
19:22if we, the Muslims,
19:24who sinned against Allah SWT,
19:26if we truly repent to Allah SWT,
19:29God willing,
19:30Allah is Most Compassionate,
19:32Allah is Most Merciful,
19:33Allah is Most Forgiving,
19:34Allah will forgive all our sins.
19:36If before this, ladies and gentlemen,
19:38we did not perform prayer,
19:39we did not perform prayer,
19:40we always left the prayer,
19:42many of the people I know,
19:45sometimes they come to me,
19:47and say, Ustaz, I have left the prayer for 3-4 years.
19:503-4 years I did not perform prayer.
19:52So, what should I do?
19:53You should bring it back.
19:54The prayer should be performed in the proper way,
19:57according to the order and so on.
19:59And also, I say that,
20:01for these people,
20:03even though they have left the prayer,
20:05they have left fasting,
20:06they have not paid zakat,
20:07however, there is still room
20:09to repent to Allah SWT.
20:11If you know someone
20:12who has drowned in sin,
20:15and it is difficult to leave sin,
20:18then we should call them back,
20:20because the door of repentance to Allah SWT
20:23is still open for all of us.
20:25May Allah SWT give guidance to us,
20:27and also to everyone we know,
20:29so that we can all return
20:31to the path of Allah SWT.
20:36However, Allah said to the disbelievers,
20:38if you return to oppose the Prophet SAW,
20:42then what will happen to you,
20:45will happen to the people before you.
20:47What will happen to the people
20:49who opposed the previous Prophets?
20:51We have heard many stories
20:53about the people of Prophet Lot,
20:55who were destroyed by Allah SWT.
20:57The people of Pharaoh,
20:58with all of his power and army,
21:00were finally crushed
21:02under the sea.
21:05The people of Prophet Salih,
21:07the people of Prophet Noah,
21:11they were all destroyed
21:13by Allah SWT.
21:15If Allah destroyed the previous people,
21:18then what is the difference between you and them?
21:20Whereas you are much weaker
21:22compared to the people
21:24who were destroyed by Allah SWT.
21:27This is a reminder.
21:29In Tafsir, it is said,
21:31the door of repentance to Allah SWT.
21:33If at the beginning,
21:34there was repentance,
21:35Allah said,
21:36and tried to pull,
21:37here, below,
21:38and another one,
21:41Allah is threatening these people,
21:43if they do not accept my invitation.
21:45Allah did not create,
21:47Allah gave the choice.
21:48I do not mean that
21:49when Allah created,
21:50it does not mean that
21:51if you do not want Dawah,
21:53it is okay.
21:54It is not like that.
21:55Allah created,
21:56but at the same time,
21:57if you do not accept this Dawah,
21:59then this will happen to you.
22:01Then Allah SWT said,
22:03وَقَاتِلُهُمْ
22:05And fight those disbelievers.
22:08وَقَاتِلُهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةً
22:12Fight those disbelievers
22:15so that there will be no more fitnah.
22:19What is meant by fitnah here?
22:21Are we slandering people?
22:23Is that what it means here?
22:24Because we know that
22:25fitnah in the Quran
22:26sometimes comes with various meanings.
22:28Before we talk about fitnah,
22:30I want to draw your attention
22:32to our choice of words today.
22:35Our choice of words is
22:37the word madha
22:39which is mentioned in the verse
22:41فَقَضَ مَضَىٰتْ سُنَّةُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
22:43which is
22:44بَلَقُوا بَلَلُو بَرْجَلَنْ لُرُسٍ
22:47If people say
22:48فَعَلْ مَضِي
22:49فَعَلْ مَضِي
22:50For those who are used to
22:51learning Arabic,
22:52فَعَلْ مَضِي
22:53refers to
22:54an action that has been done.
22:57So, this word is mentioned
22:59in the Quran
23:00five times.
23:02One of the surahs
23:03that contains this word
23:04is
23:05surah al-Kahfi,
23:06verse 60,
23:07surah Yasin,
23:08verse 67,
23:09and also
23:10surah al-Zukhruf,
23:11verse 8.
23:13So, that is the word
23:15madha.

23:20verse 39
23:21where Allah Almighty says
23:23وَقَاتِلُهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ
23:27And fight them
23:28until there is no more
23:30fitnah.
23:31What is meant
23:32by fitnah here?
23:34Fitnah here, ladies and gentlemen,
23:36is the act of
23:37keeping someone away
23:39from the religion
23:40of Allah Almighty.
23:42The act of
23:43preventing a person
23:45from worshipping
23:46Allah Almighty.
23:48That is
23:49what is meant
23:50by fitnah.
23:51So, Allah Almighty says,
23:53Let you fight them,
23:55O Muhammad,
23:56until there is no more fitnah.
23:58It means
23:59there is no more effort
24:01to return
24:02these believers
24:03to the religion of disbelief.
24:04Fight them
24:05so that these believers
24:07are protected
24:08by their faith.
24:09So that they can
24:10perform their worship
24:12with complete freedom
24:14without any worry,
24:16without any fear.
24:17So, actually,
24:18that is the only function
24:19of the Prophet's war,
24:20peace be upon him,
24:21so that
24:22this religion of Islam,
24:24so that this religion of Islam
24:26can be spread
24:27and practiced
24:28freely.
24:30There is no element
24:32to force anyone
24:34to enter Islam.
24:36But we want
24:37people to be able
24:38to practice the true religion
24:40freely
24:41and not be disturbed
24:42by any party.
24:44Because
24:45the choice to enter Islam
24:47is a choice
24:48that someone
24:49has to make himself.
24:50If he chooses,
24:51then he gets Allah's approval.
24:52If he does not choose,
24:53then his fate
24:54is the same as
24:55those who are at loss.
