00:00Let's talk about the league start then, two wins out of two and probably the last thing
00:03you want is a blank weekend this weekend, this Saturday, but the guys have done everything
00:08that was asked of them.
00:09Yeah, absolutely.
00:10The performance cycles have been good as well and it's important, I say it in the dressing
00:16room all the time, we're not going to dominate the ball for minute one to minute 90, this
00:20is league two.
00:21The game is going to be in peaks and flows and we're going to have periods where we're
00:27not in possession of the ball and that was the case on Saturday at times and I thought
00:32we defended well.
00:33Yeah, it's two wins but for us we just focus on the next game and tonight was the next
00:40game.
00:41Now we've got some work and we'll get rested up, we'll get training, we'll work on things
00:47because there's plenty still to work on and we'll just approach the next game and we won't
00:52get any further ahead than that.
00:53The attack has been spoken about, obviously Elgin's away from him in recent seasons, hasn't
00:56been too strong, it's something he's been trying to change and that was a perfect start
00:59on Saturday.
01:00You've now got two away trips to go to, you're only taking one at a time, I'm quite certain
01:03of that but there's clear signs that the guys have got a different mentality about them.
01:08Yeah, look, form before we came in, we can only speak about the form since we came in
01:16and I think we picked up two wins on the road and two or three draws, whatever it was.
01:21I think the players have shown now that they're capable of winning games away from home, not
01:25just this season but last season as well.
01:28Obviously, to be in the hunt where we want to be, you've got to have consistency and
01:35you've got to pick up sustained results, whether that's home, whether that's away, that's just
01:40the nature of the league.
01:41If you want to be that team then you've got to be consistent and you've got to pick up
01:44X amount of wins.
01:46We know that we need to win at home, we know that we need to win away but I think the players
01:50have shown on Saturday that we can go away from home and still put in a good level of
01:55performance.
01:56There were periods in the game on Saturday that the players were on the front foot, really
01:58positive, took good passages of play together and on another day we could have scored another
02:03couple of goals.
02:05I've got a lot of belief in this group, I know how hard the players work and I know
02:09the depth of squad that we have.
02:12For us, as I said, every other team will be in the same boat as what we are so we just
02:17focus on ourselves, we keep training the players hard, they'll continue to be focused and concentrated
02:22and we just look after the next game and everything else out with that, we'll just let you guys
02:27talk about it.
02:28Q. And it will just be training and resting up any knocks and all that over the next 10
02:32days or so?
02:33Yeah, I think we'll get recovery into them on Thursday, just with a long trip on Saturday,
02:39the game tonight, then we'll do a double session again Saturday and then we'll train as normal
02:44next week.
