A new wellbeing centre for anyone who has served in the Armed Forces has opened In Forres.
The £1.3 million transformation of the 1864-built Victoria Hotel on Tytler Street into the Erskine Veterans Activity Centre North (EVACN) has been complete.

00:23That's fantastic. I mean Ian Cumming and I had multiple conversations over a long period of
00:28time about bringing this to fruition and I was well aware of the age of the building, the scale
00:33of the challenge and to see it you know turning out like this is fantastic. It's a massive facility
00:39there's a lot of potential for multiple uses for the veterans community to come together,
00:44have a bit of a support network, a bit of banter, a bit of a moan, whatever they want to do.
00:50And the facilities that are going to be on offer here I think really fit in with the ethos of
00:55Erskine. If you've ever visited Bishop and it's a fantastic facility but it's in the west and the
01:00ambition has always been to offer something similar in other parts of the country. This is
01:05the first step forward for Erskine to bring this to Moray. It's fantastic. The ground floor
01:11of the activity centre, what a template, what a base for us. The location's fantastic, the
01:17community's fantastic and then we've only got to build. We'll build on. We've got plans for
01:23year two, year three with the second and third floors so watch that space. I'm glad Erskine's
