The UK is braced for an unsettled start to 2025, with heavy snow, rain and wind expected to cause travel disruption over New Year's Eve. 00:04severe as it could have been a day or so ago, there will still be some very strong winds
00:09and the potential for some heavy rain and it's around the run up to and the following
00:15on from midnight that we are going to see some hazardous weather as well. We need to
00:19be aware that people need to attend the events, they need to get there, they need to get home
00:23safely, there's the set up, the clear away, all of that is taken into account. No one
00:27wanted to see events being cancelled so they wouldn't have taken these decisions lightly.
00:32There are a lot of warnings out at the moment and they are constantly being updated so it's
00:36worth staying on top of those if you are planning anything through the next day or so. Particularly
00:41if you're planning to travel, be aware that there could be some significant delays and
00:46disruption.
